  1. What benefit does having an ELECTED recorder bring to the citizenry?

Is this so we can rotate our politically motivated bureaucrats more effectively?

  2. Exactly.

I like Tirio’s idea of eliminating the role altogether.

At least that will be one less politician to corrupt.

  3. Actually, what most people do not realize is that, eliminating the role of The Recorder, and combining the offices, it’s going to cost more money by doing so.

If one thinks that combining the office of The County Clerk and The County Recorder is going to save money, they’re wrong.

It’s just a political tactic that he is using to win the campaign.

It’s going to cost money to physically combine the offices, hire more supervisors for a larger group of workers, and so on.

It’s not like you can eliminate a lot of workers, because you’re not getting rid of any of the important job positions that both offices need, you’re just combining the offices.

The County Clerk could also, potentially get a raise, because they have to over see double the staff and double the work.

So please tell me how eliminating the Recorders office is going to benefit anyone.

All positions in the county are equally important, and politics are only corrupt if you bring in a corrupt politician.

    Joe Tirio is corrupt.

He’s not running for the right reasons.

It’s like he is running for prom court, just to gain the wrong type of popularity.

    Please research before voting.

Joni Smith is the only candidate that knows what it actually takes to do the job of a Recorder.

Last time I checked, experience counts.

  4. Josh Gibson, that’s an outright lie that it will cost more money.

You don’t understand Tirio’s plan at all.

You don’t physically move the office.

    It stays where it is.

You just have those people report to the Clerk and get rid of the Figurehead position of Recorder.

They collect a huge salary/benefits/penstion and are never there!

    Tirio’s right.

Get rid of that elected position.

He’ll get rid of redundancies too.

    TIRIO for RECORDER!
