A press release from the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office:
MICHAEL TATERA FOUND GUILTY OF AGGRAVATED DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL
Louis A. Bianchi, McHenry County State’s Attorney, announces that 54 year old of West Allis, Wisconsin, was found guilty, after a jury trial, of the offense of Aggravated Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.
The defendant was stopped by Spring Grove Police after being observed driving around barricades and through a closed road in downtown Spring Grove.
Once stopped, the defendant was evaluated for DUI and was arrested after showing signs of impairment.
The defendant has been convicted on seven prior occasions of the offense of DUI in Wisconsin making this conviction a Class X felony with a sentencing range of six to thirty years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
This case was investigated by the Spring Grove Department.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant State’s Attorney John T. Gibbons and Robert Ladd.
After the first DUI the license should be revoked forever.
Yeah, that will stop them from driving drunk.
Maybe we should just ban all cars to prevent DUI deaths.
