  1. MCC Sheriff didn’t accomplish anything more
than what it would have accomplished during
the same period without HEM in effect.

It’s all propaganda in the “Policing For Profit”
    revenue enhancement scam.

    We Serve And Collect.

Yet another reason why Illinois citizens are fleeing the state.

  2. Two DUI arrests in 17 days must have made the roads about 0.0000000000001% safer.

  3. The Des Plaines PD got in a bunch of trouble a couple of years ago for inflating DUI arrest numbers during one of these campaigns so they could get more money from IDOT.

IDOT gets “free” money from the Feds, and they dole it out to the local police agencies to pay for overtime for these campaigns.

The stated purpose is to improve traffic safety.

They’d get a whole lot more bang for the buck if they spent the money on enhanced snow removal instead.

  4. That’s pretty disturbing that 25% of those nabbed, were for no insurance.

But it also indicates to me, a lot of people are just to broke, to even afford liability on their cars.

Now when is the next Public Sector strike for more money scheduled?

  5. 80% of the no insurance are for those not carrying a valid card.

    Easily remedied in court.

  6. It’s pretty much like living in North Korea the way the keep pushing these shakedowns.
