  1. They should promote from within unless they have a know problem like we did.

  2. Whatsa Matter Andy, not making any money selling garage door openers?

  3. He is no longer in your community- what is wrong with you people?

Cal, why do you continue this?

  4. Why does Cal continue this, you ask ?

Perhaps it’s because we don’t ever want to see him return.

    Caveat emptor, Kenosha.

  5. No one wants to see him wear a badge ever again. “rawdogger” is right

start sending letters out, start signing petitions…..

    start picketing………….

    start the non violent protests…..

  6. Andy, has another new book coming out and the title will be “How to Sell Garage Door Openers and Not make a Dime, For DUMMIES!”

  7. “He is no longer in your community- what is wrong with you people?”

Some of us have enough couth to hope that others don’t get saddled with the same mistake we did.

  8. This story is unnecessary rock throwing.

Is it any wonder nothing can be solved in our gov through compromise anymore, the way we need to be over the top.

What happen to Mr Rodgers neighborhood?

  9. “NOB” News Flash”

Mr Rodgers neighborhood does not exist in McHenry County.

However, we did have the Nygren and Zinke Circus for decades.

That circus turned a lot of lives upside down.

People from our community live everyday without their careers, their life savings, family members and more.

The people who ran the Nygren Circus showed no mercy for the people.

In fact, it went on and on and on and on and on, and now the people are left to pick up the pieces.

    So, does Andy deserve MERCY?

    NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It’s time for him to reinvent himself and leave the world of law enforcement forever!

  10. Wow.

Perhaps if Zinke had a couple of arrests/convictions surrounding beating women or DUI this crowd would be much more accepting?

I detest hypocrites and the continued following of Zinke while giving the guy who is actually a police commander in our area with an actual ugly criminal history is the the very definition of hypocrisy.

  11. Remember, Rita Corporation?

Hmmmm, who thwarted the efforts of the investigators?

  12. Clearly, you must be a “REGIMER” and or an Andy Zinke friend.

The Greatest hope is that Andy Zinke moves out of McHenry County and finds work somewhere else.

In my opinion, he should never be allowed to wear another badge or work in law enforcement for as long as he lives.

  13. Rebel, the circus the majority of the people in this county voted for, over and over, we are to blame as much as they are for the mess.

My bet would be you voted for them also at one time or another.

Maybe not, but being vindictive accomplishes nothing, in fact it just makes things worst.

    Throwing rock doesn’t help, FACT.

If mercy means leave him alone, yes, he’s not on our payroll anymore thank god.

Cal, is repeating the rock throwing over and over a Libertarian value?
    Come on!!!!!

  14. Libertarians want all members of society to have abundant opportunities to achieve economic success.

A free and competitive market allocates resources in the most efficient manner.

Each person has the right to offer goods and services to others on the free market.

A small part of that platform.

  15. Libertarians advocate individual privacy and government transparency. We are committed to ending government’s practice of spying on everyone. We support the rights recognized by the Fourth Amendment to be secure in our persons, homes, property, and communications. Protection from unreasonable search and seizure should include records held by third parties, such as email, medical, and library records.

  16. Individuals own their bodies and have rights over them that other individuals, groups, and governments may not violate.

Individuals have the freedom and responsibility to decide what they knowingly and voluntarily consume, and what risks they accept to their own health, finances, safety, or life.

  17. We hold that all individuals have the right to exercise sole dominion over their own lives, and have the right to live in whatever manner they choose, so long as they do not forcibly interfere with the equal right of others to live in whatever manner they choose.

I never voted for the dude, but beating a dead horse, come on.

  18. You said:

“We hold that all individuals have the right to exercise sole dominion over their own lives, and have the right to live in whatever manner they choose, so long as they do not forcibly interfere with the equal right of others to live in whatever manner they choose”

“the Fourth Amendment to be secure in our persons, homes, property, and communications.

    So right you are.

However, I will exercise my right to free speech”

Please reiterate your speech to Andy Zinke.

And, as long as Andy Zinke is willing to make any attempt to get another job in law enforcement I will be here commenting.

  19. Kenosha isn’t nearly far enough away, but it sure beats seeing him land in Woodstock.

Let those Packer fans have him as a gift from Illinois.

  20. I didn’t say that Rebel, it came from Cal’s Libertarian platform same as the rest I posted.

So you are not a Libertarian, how about a Christian that is without sin?

Na, a good Christian doesn’t throw rocks, so you’re a sinner just like he is.

It’s to bad you killed Mr Rodgers, a American military hero in fact.

Could you, would you. be my neighbor.

  21. I guess the “people calling out rock throwers” would never warn a neighbor of impending disaster.

Nice to know that people care for each other so much that they would just shut up and “let live”.

Seems to be one of the main reasons society is totally screwed up in these times. Dangerous ring any bells?

I guess not for the pantywaists.

If you are going to throw rocks like that, you should proabbly learn to spell, The Nob.

  22. This might be the first time in history that someone has tried to use the Libertarian Party Platform in support of a person’s right to seek a government job.

    The irony is deep.

  23. Oh, and BTW. I have never ever known Cal to be any kind of a “rock thrower”.

He would be the very last on a list of suspects for that.

By any chance does anyone remember the saying about this being a “free country” (speech and all that unimportant stuff?.

Even if Cal wanted to – it’s his damned blog!

He has every right to do whatever he wants here.

  24. First of all, I thought Zinke left The McHenry County Sheriff’s Department because he lost to Bill Prim…

He didn’t even stick around to hand over the reins, but conveniently ” RETIRED” before the swearing in of Sheriff Prim.

If Zinke gets the job, will he give his wife a job in the evidence room ?

They should both look into other professions….law enforcement doesn’t seem to agree with either one of them!

    Baggage, Baggage, Baggage….

  25. Happy Trails,

Correct, Bill would of found a legal way to get rid of Andy anyway.

Andy kind of did Bill a favor and let Bill bring in his PATRONAGE friends.

Keith was suppose to hand over the reins, Andy should of helped also, but I’d guess
he was tired of dodging rocks and babied out.

That does show a weakness in his personality, granted.

The shot about his wife, even if possible is legal, although IMO a political death
    sentence, dumb!

Lots of baggage, kind of like Hilliar in fact. LOL

There has been allot of local talk about nepotism and patronage, Joe and Andrew have had their rants put on this blog recently.

I have asked them what they have done to change that problem since they have both been saying quite a bit about it for almost a year now.

Ya know meetings with local state officials, other county elected, to get something written down and move us in that direction, even a petition drive, anything.

I’d be glad to sign a well written petition, anytime, anywhere.

I was given a waltz, part of which was not enough time.

Strike one, and three strikes your out of my consideration for voting for you.

    Just saying.

  26. Cindy, sorry about my spelling, but I do get my point across which is what matter over all.

Oh and that was also unnecessary rock throwing.

Andy warned a friend/warn a neighbor of impending disaster.

He should of just shut up and “let live” right?

Unethical, or maybe not, depending on who is judging and who is helping who right?

Of course Cal can say what he wants, and I’d guess the getting flipped off has something do do with the weekly reports we keep getting about Andy.

I see the rocks being thrown all over the country, not just here, and wonder how it really helps move the country forward?

Maybe you can explain that to me, how making somebody more defensive and less likely to agree with you, is a good thingy.

Rock throwing and partisan political games got us a 20T fed debt, not forgetting the states debt.

The guy is down, made many a mistake, mostly his fault, but we helped by reelecting Keith.

Time to back off a touch.

  27. Billy Bob,
A job, some here don’t want this guy having any job, or so it seems.
Really with his pension, why even look for a job.
Say what was the Bears record this year, say verses the Packers?
    Yamon! 🙂

  28. It’s just irritating, Nob.

I love reading your stuff; hate when I have to reread because of all the errors.

    Personal peccadillo, I guess.

Just don’t think it’s setting a good example.

My husband even corrects our grand children’s texting messages; and he’s nowhere near the stickler English major that I am.

    Here’s a hint.

To spelled with one ‘o’ shows action.

    From here to there?

Too with two ‘o’s’ could be a synonym for also or more.

As in I am too busy?

Mr. Rogers was an American hero.

Try not to bungle the name.

You wouldn’t like it if someone spelled your name wrong.

I still think warning people of wrongs is a vey good and neighborly thing.

    Check your bible again.

I don’t think it tells us to back off.

  29. Nob,

I’m fine with Zinke selling garage doors.

I’m not fine with him ever wearing a badge again.

There is no constitutional right to a be a cop, and Zinke has proven multiple times through his actions that he has no qualms about abusing the authority given to him.

BTW – Fred Rogers never served in the military.

That’s an urban legand that has persisted for years.

  30. I keep typing/using the GB QB’s spelling sorry.

Even as a youth, I felt in necessary to protect the individual from the bullies that just couldn’t stop what could be considered harassment today.

IMO we’ve beaten him down enough, I’d say that about any person who has monthly reports on their activities that aren’t on our payroll.

We’ve become meaner as a people, or maybe I just notice it more than others.

  31. Tirio and Joe Alger spoke out a few times about the blatant nepotism in the Clerks office, and I believe Gottemoller and some others didn’t see the ethics issue as enforceable.

That could be why he’s running.

God love him if he can make strides in cleaning up the courths admin.

  32. Oh dear, I meant to post my above comment on another story.

Still trying to get the hang of this computer thing.

  33. Oh gosh . It does go here in response to ‘Nob’s’ comment on Patronage and nepotism rants.

    I will excuse myself now.

    Perhaps it’s past my bedtime.

    Sorry for the confusion.
