Woodstock Recorder Signs

I was in Woodstock yesterday and found signs for two candidates for Recorder of Deeds.

The first was on what used to be called Business Route 14.

It was for Tina Hill.

Signs for Tina Hill and Dan Regna were down the street from Walmart.

Driving by toward the Square from the north I saw a Joe Tirio sign in the window of his and his wife’s company, Monarch Senior Services.

Joe Tirio's four by four foot sign.

While Hill’s sign is strictly to build name identification, Tirio’s does that and targets two of his issues:

  • Nepotism (iWontHireMyWife.com) and
  • Getting rid of the Recorder of Deeds as an elective office (ERASE the RECORDER)

Not the price of gasoline reflected in the window with information about Monarch Senior Care–159.9 cents per gallon for regular.

  1. Again, anyone remember how Micehlle Bachman was ridiculed about $1.98 gas?

We really need to elect Joe!

  2. Joe doesn’t need to hire his wife because she is already on the government gravy train at MCC

  3. Community College board members are not paid…just as school board members do not receive a salary.

  4. The level of political ignorance increases every year!

Without blogs such as this it would be even worse! Sad! We have ourselves to blame.

We, the People had the opportunity every election to promote and elect to office, people who would SERVE. Instead the MAJORITY sat at home and did not even vote in primaries when the candidates for the general election are determined.

Less than 17 % of the REGISTERED voters in the county voted in the 2014 primary!

This year we even saw Madigan and Franks get a Democrat to file as a Republican because it appeared the Republicans were not going to produce a candidate to challenge Jack Franks!!

This County has a reputation for being solidly Republican – Really?

The majority voted for GUARANTEED PUBLIC PENSIONS!

The majority voted for the Senior Citizen tax.

The majority voted for the 708 Board.

The majority voted for Valley Hi Nursing Home tax.

The majority voted to create the position of County Board Chairman and look at the
    choice you have!!!

We need to be thankful that the majority on the County Board refused to place the
Township consolidation question on the ballot.

The sad part is that many of the NO votes were for the wrong reason – they voted against it because they did not believe it would pass!!

This week the County Board voted to support changes to Township law to improve the chances of a future consolidation proposals!!

It does not matter to them that Township Consolidation would increase our property taxes in the long term – anyone who tells you otherwise must have one of those funny looking cigarette prescriptions.

That said – vote for Joe Tirio!

    He will represent us!

  5. No elected school board officials get no pay, no benefits.

    Purely a public service position.

It costs them time and money.

    Educate yourself Ted Smith.
