And, here it is, thanks to a Friend of McHenry County Blog, who recorded it, rather than interrupting the Chicago Blackhawks game:
“You hate you hate high taxes.
“I hate them too.
“This is Joe Gottemoller, your McHenry County Board chairman.
“For the past three years they’ve reduced the county taxes and I’ve reduced the number of County employees by 15%.
“Collectively tax payers in McHenry County with save more than $10 million.
“If you support lower taxes and smaller government, press one and a small yard sign will be delivered to you.
“If you’d like to be removed from future calls, please press five.
“On March 15, your vote for your county board chairman for the first time.
“I hope my record has earned your vote.
“Thank you and have a nice evening.
“Paid for by citizens for Joe Gatemoller.”
Another voice: “Press five to be removed from future calls.”

It is interesting that Gottemoller uses three years’ results to promote his candidacy. He has been County Board Chairman only a bit more than one year (14 months + the days of February), so what ever happened during the last three years can be attributed to his predecessors–Ken Koehler in 2012 and Tina Hill in 2013 & 2014.
The budget under which the County operated last year was passed before Gottemoller was sworn in as Chairman.
