A press release from Allen Skillicorn, one of four GOP candidates to replace State Rep. Mike Tryon:

LOTS OF TALK, BUT LITTLE CHANGE FROM OBAMA

East Dundee, IL ā€“ President Obama campaigned on themes of hope and change.

Seven years later Illinois looks very much like it did when Obama first made these promises.

Our state has the highest unemployment rate in the Midwest, the lowest credit rating in the nation, and has the 2nd highest property taxes in the nation.

A lot of talk, but little change, Illinois under Mike Madigan and the Chicago Democrats in charge looks remarkably similar, even worse, than it did seven years ago.

Now is the time for leadership in Illinois. The Chicago Democrats in charge have been telling you they are going to fix our failing systems for years. But under their leadership, Chicago and Illinois has descended into ruin. Rather than playing political games, and inviting the President to Springfield to speak, we should be passing the structural reforms needed to put Illinois back on the path to prosperity. Including reforms like term limits, charter schools, and redistricting, which Governor Rauner supports, President Obama supports, and 79% of the voters in Illinois support.

“For seven months, the Chicago Democrats have put their political interests ahead of the needs of our families, refusing to compromise with Governor Rauner on much-needed reforms that would save our state.” Skillicorn continued, “Iā€™m going to Springfield to take on special interests, stop tax hikes, and stop the Chicago bailout.”

Allen Skillicorn is a Republican candidate running in the 66th State House District. He faces Paul Serwatka, Dan Wilbrandt and Carolyn Schofield in the March 15th Primary.

  1. Once again, the “community disorganizer in chief” and Alinskyite has imparted his great wisdom to the unwashed masses.

But then again, who would expect anything less from “The One”?

    The emperor has no clothes.

  2. Thank you, Allen, for stating the obvious in a boring press release.

Geez – is this all it takes?

  3. Klaatu: Nah, she was too busy ‘negotiating’ campaign contributions.

  4. The picture above reminds me too much of the ‘turncoat’ liberal Paul Ryan.
