Below is a mailing that arrived this week from County Board member Carolyn Schofield. She is one of four candidates to replace State Rep. Mike Tryon.
As you can see, Tryon is endorsing her.
On the back of the large post card are comments about how she is a “supporter of family and community values,” plus comments designed to appeal to property taxpayers and those seeking more job opportunities.
Voters!!
Understand that McHenry County’s population has dropped from a published number of over 320,000 in 2010 to a number in the neighborhood of 307,000 or less.
Schofield even chaired a Special Committee to study as to why.
Now you have people running for office claiming credit for reducing costs!
Meanwhile people such as Schofield have been approving labor contract after labor contract for higher wages.
Higher wages equal higher GUARANTEED pensions in the public sector.
Ask Carolyn and anyone else running for office how many times they voted against a wage increase!
Mike “the Human-Snail” Tryon’s pix just lost her 500 votes w/ that amateurish mailing!
Busybody housewife.
Qualified to gripe about how people drive way too fast past her kids’ school, but not for much else.
I have nothing.
But, I love the three comments above.
She calls herself just a Mom.
State Legislators have to spend a great deal of time in Springfield In order to to the job.
They rent apartments there as a 2nd home.
Carolyn has 3 very young children.
How does she do this??
A Mom is available to her kids.
What about them?
This is all too self serving.
Ugh – Tryon endorsement is campaign cancer!

I’m sure you say this about all the dads that run for office too, right?
