Turn on Your Headlights at Night on in Harvard

Harvard Police Department headingHarvard Police made two arrests the first week of February after stopping vehicles with their headlights out.

WARRANT ARREST

On 02-04-16 at 1733 hrs, Edgar Perez (m-20 yoa), 22913 W. Grant Hwy, Marengo was arrested on two (2) McHenry County Warrants after he was stopped in a 2001 Toyota near the intersection of S. Division St and McGuire Rd for driving without headlamps when required.

The first warrant was a Failure to Appear Warrant for Domestic Battery, Criminal Trespass to Residence, and Child Endangerment.

The second warrant was for Violation of Bail Bond.

Perez was also cited for No Insurance and received a warning for the headlamp violation.

Perez was unable to post the required bond and was transported to the McHenry County Jail.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL

On 02-07-16 at 0234 hrs, Alec C. McDowell (m-19 yoa), 105 Dewey St, Harvard was arrested for Driving under the Influence of Alcohol. McDowell was stopped at the intersection of W. Brink St and Randall St after Harvard Officers observed him driving without his lights on.

McDowell was charged and issued citations for Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, Driving under the Influence of Alcohol with a BAC over .08, Driving without lights when required, No Valid Driver’s License, Illegal Transportation of Alcohol by a driver, and Unlawful Possession of Alcohol by a Person Under 21 yoa.

McDowell was unable to post bond and was transported to the McHenry County Jail with a court date of 03-23-16 at 1330 hrs.

Also a passenger in the vehicle, Csaba L. Van Hout (m-19 yoa), 23716 Rita Dr, Harvard was issued a citation under City of Harvard Ordinance for the Unlawful Consumption of Alcohol by a person under 21.

Van Hout was released with a Notice to Appear court date of 03-21-16 at 1330 hrs.
