Daily Herald Endorses Skala and Calomino for County Board in District 5

The Daily Herald seems to be the only daily newspaper endorsing County Board candidates.

There is some irony in that, since the DH does not sent a reporter to County Board meetings and has less and less of a stake in McHenry County besides printing the Northwest Herald.

In any event, in its latest endorsement, the DH has endorsed incumbent Mike Skala and newcomer Joe Calomino for District 5 seats.

  2. These endorsements are all over the map, no rhyme or reasoning.

    A real crap shoot that holds little to no credibility.

    What the hell is up with some of these crazy endorsements?

    People, do your own research and make an educated decision.

    We will be stuck with who wins the primary for a very long time!

  3. Yes, the Board has two factions.

    One faction tries to support the taxpayers while the other faction wants to bury the taxpayer!

    One faction votes against wage increases while the other faction rubber stamps whatever Staff recommends.
