Monday, along with the post cards from Demetri Tsilimigras and Cameron Hubbard was one from McHenry County Recorder of Deeds candidate Joe Tirio.
The address side has a broken piggy bank.
The first paragraph of the text reminds voters that Tirio intends “to eliminate my job before the end of my first term.”
“The people of the county should expect that their elected officials and employees will take every reasonable measure to reduce costs,” the next sentence stresses (emphasis in the original).
He outlines his qualifications and states,
“Neither of my opponents can hold a candle to my leadership experience.”
The back of the post card the smallest text says,
“In addition to weeding out nepotism, patronage and waste, I vow to pursue consolidation of the Recorder’s functions into the Clerk’s office and to abolish the Recorder’s position.” (Emphasis in the original.)
