Undercurrent from Peaker Plant Fight

An opponent of the Oakwood Hills Peaker Plant fight sent the following photo taken on East Crystal Lake Avenue near Oakwood Hills:

The placement of the anti-Peaker Plant sign next to Joe Gottemoller's indicates that there is still some bad feeling about Gottemoller's role as attorney for the Peaker Plant developers. Luckily for Gottemoller, during the election after the decision, there was not a big voter turnout in Oakwood Hills and he ran first in the County Board race.

  1. Thanks for showing this, it’s important to remind people what could have happened to the county if “Canada Joe” was able to push this prOject down the throats of the people in his own district.

  2. If you really want to fight the NWO, you have to stay focused on getting rid of these types.

    Love The Mrs. comment.

  3. Very troubling that a County board member representing a zoning variance petitioner would participate in crafting a MOU with OH Village Board in violation of Open Meetings Act.

If he knew it was so, it seems he abetted his clients in colluding with OH President to cheat and exploit the village citizens.

(Not to mention most citizens of McHenry County; that power plant would use more water per day–free to them—than all of Crystal Lake. And landlocked McHenry County is NOT water rich).

If he didn’t know,it indicates an unacceptable level of incompetence in one seeking chairmanship.

The OMA is the last meagre protection this county has against being strip mined for the benefit of of a few insiders.

  4. So if signs near each other mean you are running together Demetri and Kenneally are running with Tirio as his sign appeared next to theirs overnight that means they are all running together.

If they support Tirio I don’t support them.

  5. Pablo – that is not necessarily true.

Property owners decides whose signs go up.

Sometimes people hook theirs to an existing rebar that someone else is using.

You will see a lot of different mixes everywhere.

    There are no slates.

  6. pablo has no ability to read and understand the blurb under the photo. It has nothing to do with what you claim.

  7. Hi Pablo, Can you please tell me your reasons for not wanting Tirio in office?

I saw you wrote that on another post as well.

I am interested to hear if you are against eliminating the position that pays over $105k a year plus a pension and benefits.

From what I understand over 82 counties ( someone please correct me if I’m wrong) in IL do not have this position.

I like the way Tirio thinks.

He is a selfless individual trying to save the tax payers money and reduce government.

  8. He can’t independently eliminate the office.

How many of those 82 counties had two offices to begin wit?

Show some proof they saved money.

Wasn’t that the rhetoric about townships?

    Lets talk some facts

102 Counties in the State of Illinois

    20 Counties are over 100,000

    11 Counties are between 50,000 to 100,000

    71 Counties Below 50,000

And if you attend the League of Women voter Debate @ MCC Joe Stated he was going to save the Tax Payer’s Million of dollar in Thirty years or was that Forty years.

and now it just the job

    What are the fact’s

Not sure who going get my vote
