Proft PAC Disses Urlacher & McLaughlin

Arriving on Friday in Crystal Lake was a oversized post card trying to pin Casey Urlacher and Martin McLaughlin to the Democratic Party.

Again Rod Blagojevich’s and Pat Quinn’s pictures are used to make the point.

The connection is campaign contributions and, in Urlacher’s case, an appointment to a state agency (Civil Service Commission).

The donations are not enumerated.

The source is the “Illinois State Board of Elections,” but that contains a data base that probably not one voter will ever explore for back-up data.

Evoking the "If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck" saying, Dan Proft's PAC presents two swimming mallards.

The Dan Proft PAC piece claims, “These Chicago Democrat Connections are foul.”

The back has two mallard ducks.

I’m sure that candidates being attacked by Liberty Principles PAC could use the following photo to fire back:

A mommy duck with her ducklings.

  1. McConchie has no record of accomplishment so negative is all he has and through proft and Walsh he proclaims these falsities.

In these serious economic times, this type of politics rings hollow with voters.

All these mailings do is show desperation and lack of character.

  2. Hmm, using this standard, Ronald Reagan wouldn’t be a fit candidate in the eyes of Dan Proft’s PAC.

Reagan was an actual Democrat before he switched parties.

And his administration turned out pretty well, didn’t it?

    So much for ducks…

If you can’t win on the strength of your resume’ and your ideas, throw mud and create doubt among uneducated voters.

David — I agree — desperation and lack of character.

Support Martin McLaughlin — the smart voter’s choice.

  3. Reagan admin policies weren’t so great, largest increase in debt verses GDP as I remember.

Ronny politics allowed the Presidents to follow to waste large $$$$, HW, W, and BO were all following Ron’s lead.

  4. Knob it is congress which apprpriates money, not the president.

To blame Reagan for deficits is like giving Clinton credit for balancing the budget.
