Around the first of the year, the New York Times polled every congressional district in the country.
Donald Trump
The poll had a margin of error of almost 9%, but its findings were that Donald Trump was getting about a third of the vote in both McHenry County congressional districts.
Now the Chicago Tribune finds that Trump is getting 32% of the vote statewide.
The results for the four candidates still on the stump follow:
- Donald Trump – 32%
- Ted Cruz – 22%
- Marco Rubio – 21%
- John Kasich – 18%
- Undecided – 7%
The margin of error in the 600-person Tribune poll is 4.1%.
Trump:
– is not a career politician.
– is not politically correct.
– does not back down to Saul Alinsky tactics.
– is entertaining.
– stands up to withering attacks from all directions.
– and will make for a joke of a president… assuming he does not incite Armageddon.

The same nonsense was said about Ronald Reagan who the Republican Party did not embrace. It is not Donald Trump I am voting for per se, but for what Donald Trump represents . . a stick in the eye to the Republican Party and all those who were elected and broke their promises to voters.
I like Ted Cruz but no chance of winning the general election.

I am voting for Cruz but so many I have talked to going door to door, quietly tell me they are for Trump.
It’s kind of talking about the Nepotism problem we have here in McHenry County.
We all know there is a problem and they know we need to fix it – but they don’t want signs or to make a public statement.
Off story like our pal Al, but nice waltz to get that last part in there Andrew.
Cruz verses any Dem would be interesting, and after the vote, we’d know which direction the country is actually moving.
Problem is only dedicated right will vote for Ted in the General, he’s really not electable IMO.

Let’s not blow this opportunity by basing our votes in the primary on whom the media tells us can win in November.
Every one of our guys can beat theirs.
If you despise the go-along to get-along crowd, if you want someone who believes in and actually understands the Constitution, who will nominate justices like Scalia, Alito, and Thomas to the Supreme Court, and who won’t cut deals with Pelosi, Reid, Durbin, and the rest, vote for Cruz. His record actually supports his rhetoric.
If you are a Rubio, Kasich, or “anyone but Trump” person, please do the math- the only candidate with a path to victory at this point is Cruz.
Shawn, you got that right! People need to realize the following:
•The reason there are Purple Heart medals on the chests of the Fort Hood shooting victims is because Cruz and Palin fought to put them there when no one else would.
•The reason Obama’s executive amnesty has not cleared the Senate is Ted Cruz!
•The Reason the gang of 8 bill did not pass was because Cruz amended it to death.
•The Reason the crosses on the Az war memorials didn’t get torn down is because Ted Cruz successfully defended them in the Supreme Court of the United States.
•The reason the Ten Commandments are still on the courthouse steps in Texas is because Cruz successfully fought for them in the SCOTUS
•The Reason a 76 year old handgun ban was lifted in DC is because Ted Cruz successfully defended the Second Amendment in SCOTUS and got it lifted.
•The reason Texas was able to execute a foreign national guilty of multiple rapes and murders is because Ted Cruz successfully argued and defended US soverignty against the UN in SCOTUS.
•Ted Cruz has led the fight to defund Planned Parenthood.
•He has led the fight against executive amnesty,
•He has led the fight against the Iran Nuclear Treaty.
If you are supporting Trump please ask yourselves these questions.
What Trump POLICY do you love so much right now? Is that fair? I’m just talking CURRENT policies.
• Is it immigration…where he’s so hardcore, he JUST changed his position at the debate from the one on his website…and his people changed it back immediately after the debate? Or is it the fact that after being so hardcore…he NOW says…EVERYTHING is negotiable?
• Is it his stand on health care…where he claims no one “will die on the street” when he’s President, for lack of care? Uh, I don’t see that happening now…in fact, I’ve NEVER seen it, have you? But it’s a great Progressive talking point. So, is it the fact that he regularly USES progressive talking points…or the fact that he says the government will pay for EVERYONE being insured…in other words, universal healthcare?
• Is it the “free trade” that ISN’T free trade because he wants to impose tariffs, stance?
• Or the fact that he LOVES eminent domain and claims we wouldn’t have hospitals, bridges or roads without it? As if the government can’t put any of those where there isn’t someone’s private property.
• One thing you love COULD be the libel laws he wants to “open up” by shutting down the 1st Amendment?
• Maybe you love BOTH his positions on ISIS…leave it to Russia…AND…we should bomb the s*** out of them?
And remember this — polls have been wrong throughout this campaign!
Look at Kansas and Maine on Saturday for instance!
