Teachers’ Union About to Attack Steve Reick

Acting in concert with the Democrats who put Jeffrey Lichte up to run in the Republican Primary Election to clear the way for State Rep. Jack Franks to have no fall opponent, the Illinois Education Association has allocated $12,500 to a pop-up committee called

The same teachers' union that gave $53,900 to Carolyn Schofield is pumping in $12,500 to defeat the real Republican candidate for State Rep. running against Jack Franks.

Thee is no doubt in my mind that the two or three mailings, plus robo-calls, will brutally attack Steve Reick.

This is the best photo available of Jeff Lichte.

Steve Reick

Steve Reick is the real GOP candidate.

The reason, of course, is to dirty up his image before the fall election.

Should they be successful enough to nominate Jeff Lichte, that will just be a bonus.

Protecting Jack Franks’ back will be the main goal.

If successful here and in the Carolyn Schofield race, the IEA will have two reliable votes.

  1. Illinois Education Association’s (IEA) political action committee (PAC), Illinois Political Action Committee for Education (IPACE), contributed $12,500 on March 8, 2016 to Government for the People, 2857 W Leland Ave, Unit 1, Chicago, Illinois 60625 for the purposes of a mailer(s) to oppose Republican Steve Reick as State Representative for the 63rd District.

The 63rd District is entirely in McHenry County, falling in the western portion of the county.

The 63rd District is a key swing vote for Democrat House Leader Michael Madigan to maintain super majority power in the state House of Representatives in the Illinois General Assembly (ILGA).

The most pronounced effect of IEA & IPACE lobbying has been unsustainable legislative pension benefit hikes to underfunded pensions.

IEA & IPACE repeatedly, relentlessly, and successfully lobbied for legislative pension benefit hikes to underfunded pensions.

The practice escalated after 1 sentence was added to the Illinois State Constitution on December 15, 1970, obligating taxpayers to UNLIMITED TAX HIKES, allowing UNLIMITED pension benefit hikes to pensions ALREADY UNDERFUNDED.

That is stupid and akin to charging more items on a credit card that already has an outstanding balance which has not been paid fully ever.

Teacher pensions have never been fully funded in Illinois.

The pension fund is the Teachers Retirement System of the State of Illinois (TRS), which is arguably the #1 fiscal problem in the state of Illinois.

Education money is being diverted to hiked teacher and administrator pensions.

Education money is being consumed by hiked pensions.

The pension benefits in 1970 were already unaffordable based on the fact they were underfunded in 1970.

After 45 years of legislative benefit hikes, 1970 – 2011, we now have an even bigger unsustainable problem.

That is part of the Illinois Pension Scam against taxpayers, funded by taxpayers.

It’s a ponzi scheme, meaning the pensions because they are underfunded cannot sustain themselves, they need money from new contributors to sustain existing pensions.

    ———-

Instead of protecting pensions, the IEA & IPACE jeopardized pensions by lobbying for legislative benefit hikes to underfunded pensions.

    Fiscally irresponsible.

Insanely, this was done decade after decade.

  2. Time to start picketing outside of School Board meetings.

END THE FUNDING OF TEACHER UNION CAMPAIGN FUNDS WITH TAX DOLLARS!!

  3. hey “shes ON”..don’t pack, stay and fight, we need you to ask questions like: why are Teachers and Local 150 funds used for political Advertising?

No wonder their pension WELL is running dry….

When we have 2 unions worried about one Candidate then that Candidate is doing something they are afraid of, which means he is doing something right.. then we should back that person

    Vote for Steve…

  4. We’re behind Steve all the way !!!

We need him in our county, and NOW is the time.

  5. REMINDER: EVERY DOLLAR SPENT BY IPACE WAS PROVIDED BY THE TAXPAYERS OF THIS STATE!!!!

WE MUST KEEP THE PRESSURE ON RAUNER TO STICK TO HIS AGENDA!!

We MUST eliminate public sector unions!!

  6. **REMINDER: EVERY DOLLAR SPENT BY IPACE WAS PROVIDED BY THE TAXPAYERS OF THIS STATE!!!!**

Wrong. It was provided by IEA members.

    Good try though.

  7. And just where do the IEA members get every darn nickel from?

Don’t tell me it is from the Obama stash!!!

  8. And just where do the IEA members get every darn nickel from?</blockquoteThis isn't that dfficult to understand. Union dues, which come from individuals and not the government, fund IEA.

The government – ie taxpayers – funds IEA teacher salaries.

    The individuals fund IEA.

Would you also say that Trump funds unions, because some of his businesses have unionized workers?

  9. Well given the huge salaries and only 8% of that money goes into their own pensions..

The Taxpayer funds the rest, I think it is indeed fair to say that it’s tax payers money being used to HARM the tax payer.

  10. How do I make them stop calling me?

    Sometimes three times a day?

  11. Suddenly received 2 glossy mailers and multiple robocalls with low blow personal attacks against Steve Reick, all paid for by Government For the People.

Thanks for reporting on who they represent.

I didn’t guess our tax dollars paid for this sneaky campaign trick, too!
