Tryon Endorsement Piece Hits District 6

The post card endorsement from State Rep. Mike Tryon was zoned.

I won’t run the address side of the piece which went to the most rural part of McHenry County.

The endorsements are the same for the countywide contests.

The County Board members endorsed are the two township supervisors on the ballot–Grafton Township Supervisor James Kearns and Alden Supervisor Preston Rea.

Used to be before 1972 that township supervisors were automatically on the County Board.

There was a sop to more populated townships, who elected additional assistant township supervisors, who had equal power with the supervisors on the county board.

But, in no way was it “one man-one vote.”

In 1972 the County Board was apportioned, resulting in the western portion of the county getting its representation cut significantly.

Townships supervisors have been elected to the board since then, e.g., Ersel Schuster.  (She may have been the only one.)

In any event, here are the photos of the candidates that Tryon is asking those in District 6 to support:

The mailing from State Rep. Mike Tryon that went to McHenry County Republicans in District 6. It differs from the District 1 mailing only in that James Kearns and Preston Rea are recommended for the County Board.

Tryon Endorsement Piece Hits District 6 — 11 Comments

  1. everyone you don’t want to vote for
    all on the same ad…………..

  2. Yep!

Tryon needs to board an emergency plane and travel down to Springfield to work on a budget with the Governor!

While your at it, round up the rest of them!

Tryon endorsements mean nothing, when we have no budget in Illinois!

  3. Right… Because it’s one person who sets the budget. Lol

  4. So much for Tryon only endorsing candidates in his district!

Is he simply trying to use up his campaign funds?

Surprised he endorsed the guy he works with. Not.

All I can say is – sad.

  5. And how do you know he’s not?

Last I checked Madigan sets the schedule.

  6. Establishment, Union, Township candidates.

If you want fiscal responsibility, transparency, or integrity, none of these people fit the bill.

  7. For County Board:

Vote for Schuster – we know where she stands on the issues and is not ‘owned’ by anyone.

Vote for Kelly Liebmann – she has the correct position (in the interest of the taxpayers) on all the issues and has NOT been corrupted by the political ‘machine’ (old or new).

Rea, McCann and Kearns will do whatever they are told to do by Peter Austin.

Not one of these has the backbone to stand up for the taxpayers against wage increases we cannot afford – Schuster – Liebmann do and will.

For Recorder, we really need Tirio.

For States Attorney, Kenneally – the other guy is totally ‘owned’ by special interests.

For judge, we need Demetri – not some ‘hack; owned by the old guard ‘R’s.

For County Board Chair, the voters made a mistake creating the office – it is still a mistake.

If you are fed up with the power of the teacher unions you will not vote for any of the Tryon endorsements.

  8. What does the teachers union have to do with county board, judge and recorders races?

    More innuendo and name calling.

It seems pretty one sided to me here.

  9. The Mrs. you’re kidding right?

I guess in YOUR perfect world you don’t care that the Unions would want payback and control a candidate.

You must be a candidate taking union money. (or benefit from Union money)

And yes, there is a name for that.

Newsflash: These facts are not innuendo or name calling.

    Get out your dictionary.
