Anti-Anna May Miller Piece Delivered

A post card pointed out that McHenry County Board member Anna May Miller is a “double dipper” has arrived in District 1 mail boxes.

It was sent by McHenry County Republicans for Better Government, the same Political Action Committee that sent a sample ballot which endorsed Miller’s opponents, Tom Wilbeck and Yvonne Barnes.
The address side has the following in all capital letters:

MILLER TIME IS OVER

It also says that Anna May Miller works for her husband, Algonquin Township Road Commissioner Bob Miller, in addition to being a McHenry County Board member.

The compensation, it notes is $96,967 for the Road District job, plus $21,000 for the County Board post.

Nepotism is also covered.

The post card says not only Anna May Miller works for Bob Miller, but that he hired her two son-in-laws and that the “annual Miller family payroll costs taxpayers $389,028.”

This side of the mailing talks about double dipping, long service and nepotism in the context of Anna May Miller's employment.

  1. VOTE WILBECK AND BARNES.

The Miller’s have been profiting off of the taxpayers long enough.

ALSO – NO David Miller for precinct committeeman.

  2. FINALLY!!!

    The truth is out there.

The other mailer from this group was questionable at best but they deserve a lot of credit for this one.

Unlike the two mailers attacking Reick, union dues were not spent on the anti-Miller mailer.

Next Tuesday night we can lay to rest all the hub-bub about this family and nepotism.

If she is voted out – good riddance!

If she is not, work on other real issues or get a better candidate to run against Bobby next year – some one who is willing to spend about $100,000 on a campaign.

Someone who is willing to donate at least fifty percent of their salary back to the taxpayers.

In other words, someone willing to represent the taxpayers and still do the job.

The Algonquin residents deserve a Road Commissioner who is not owned by contractors and Local 150 but represents the taxpayers.

  3. Algonquin Township has a high percentage of its employees as Miller family members.

  4. I certainly agree that Tom Wilbeck and Yvonne Barnes should be elected.

Both are excellent choices for the office.

I have known both of them for some time and highly recommend them.

They are clear sighted, honest, fiscally conservative and will represent The People.

I would encourage your votes for both of them.

  5. District 1 voters unite behind Barnes & Wilbeck.

Let’s begin to dismantle what amounts to an unethical, self-serving, political dynasty.

  6. Nice to see all of you on the bandwagon for reform in McHenry County Government.

It’s going to take a collective effort and no one person can stand alone.

    Out with the Miller’s!

  7. Wilbeck and Barnes have nothing more to run on than tearing down others?

    Have they actually done anything?

I think they should highlight their accomplishments.

This kind of mailing turns me off.

All of the junk mail is turning me off.

All of the signs are turning me off.

    Enough already.

  8. Out with the Millers!

Out with Nepotism on taxpayers dime!

    Out with Union Whores!

    Out with Theifdoms!

For Better Government in McHenry County.

  9. There’s nothing wrong with what the Miller’s are doing?

    “Employed by the taxpayer”:

    Miller, Bob – Algonquin Highway Commissioner – $108,788.20k for 2015 *

Miller, Anna May – Double-dipper- Administrative assistant making $96,967 in 2015 PLUS $21k/yr. for her McHenry Board position. How can she work enough hours at the highway dept, and serve enough hours on the board to justify receiving retirement from the board and her salary from the highway dept??? What secretary makes $90k/yr? **

    Miller – Son-in-law #1 – $92,245 for 2015*

    Miller – Son in law #2 – $91,027 for 2015*

    “Involved in local politics”:

Miller, David – Incumbent for Committeeman, District 17 **

Miller, Bob Jr. – Running for Committeeman (write-in), District 34 ***

    Category “Other”

Miller, Rebecca Lee – Local Attorney AND helping local Judge Cowlan with his election campaign. Is this a conflict of interest? ****

AAANNNNNDDDD Finally…. Is Algonquin Assessor Robert Kunz making a play from the Miller Nepotism Handbook?

OpenTheBooks.com reports that Mary L Kunz started on the Algonquin Township payroll in 2013…

Since her salary is below $75,000/yr, she did not show up on the same radar that the 4 MILLERS showed up on….

Does it ever end? Let the voter decide…

Vote for anyone but a MILLER…

Kunz, you may still have time to “do the right thing”….

  11. There’s an easy solution to people like the Millers.

    It’s called an “election.”

VOTE THEM OUT in the Spring 2017 local elections, OR continue to sit around whining about it and hoping someone else solves your problems for you…

  12. Tax payers should also know that township dollars are being abused daily by the Miller’s son-in-law.

I’ve learned that he uses township trucks as his personal mode of transportation to commute to work in the morning, back home every afternoon for lunch, back to work after lunch and back home at the end of his day.

If he happens to be snow plowing somewhere in the township during winter days, he’ll drive the snow plow from wherever he may have been plowing all the way back to his home for his lunch hour.

Not only is this a terrible abuse of township tax money; is this fringe benefit being reported for his taxes.
