With all the hit pieces this past week against Steve, Reick, the real Republican candidate running for the GOP nomination for State Rep., it occurs to me that the McHenry Township Republican Party’s St. Patrick Day Meet & Greet and Candidate Forum at the Johnsburg Community Club Sunday from 3-6 may turn out to be a rally in his support.

Surely the fake Republican candidate and Jack Franks’ supporter Jeffrey Litche won’t dare show his face.

That would result in someone’s taking his photo and sending it to me so I no longer have to run the image you see as a proxy for his face.

The hit pieces are being financed with

  • $12,500 in teachers’ union (the Illinois Education Association) money
  • $15,000 from the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association PAC
  • $5,000 from the SEIU (Service Employees International Uniion) Healthcare

And the pop-up committee only appeared seven days before the election.

From looking at the return address (first hit piece here), you will see there is none.

That is a violation of state law, me thinks.

In any event, I think the Johnsburg event from 3-6 tomorrow night might be worth attending.

It’s also the cheapest price for corn beef and cabbage that you’ll find in McHenry County.

The event was put together by McHenry Township Republican Central Committee Steve Rooney.

You'll not find a less expensive place to enjoy corn beef and cabbage this St. Patrick's Day season.

Sponsors of the corn beef and cabbage event at the Johnsburg Community Club across from St. Patrick's Catholic Church, not exactly difficult to find.

  1. This was a really nice event.

Thank you McHenry Township Republicans and Cngrsmn Joe Walsh.

Special thanks to Steve Rooney taking time out to offer the prayer by the Holy doors at St. Pat’s.

    Feeling blessed already.

And thank you Cynthia Hemmauer for the Right to Life
    Precious Feet Lapel Pin.

Good luck to all of us in the coming year.

  2. Mr. Rooney a fine, grand host in green, and several candidates spoke well while others sprinkled a wee bit of blarney on the audience, truly made my decision easier at the end of the day.

Thanks Joe Tirio and team for the warm welcome.

    Cheers!
