Jack Franks Can’t Carry His County for Clinton, Aguilar Runs First in 14th Congressional District

Luis Aguilar, a Clinton Delegate candidate who got more votes than any other in the 14th Congressional District.

Luis Aguilar, a Sanders Delegate candidate who got more votes than any other in the 14th Congressional District.

This year, as in 2008, State Rep. Jack Franks was a big Hillary Clinton supporter.

Had he supported fellow legislator Barack Obama, he probably could have been a Federal Judge by now (or at least a Magistrate Judge).

When one looks at the Democratic Party Presidential tally for President in McHenry County, Franks did not deliver for his candidate.

Bernie Sanders won 20,093 to 12,875 for Hillary Clinton.

One of the leaders for the Sanders effort, Luis Aguilar, was recognized at the Wednesday night meeting of the McHenry County Democratic Central Committee.

He was reported to have run first in the 14th congressional district.

Democrats award their delegates proportionately by congressional district, so he assured of going to the Democratic National Convention.

Add up how many votes Jack Franks received and any other Delegates who look close and you can see if he will make the trip to Philadelphia, if not, who will.

Bernie Sanders carried McHenry County in this more or less final results.

Franks did lead among Delegate candidates, however.

Strangely, the results published by the McHenry County Clerk fail to say to which Presidential candidate each Delegate candidate is pledged.

That information is on the ballot, however, which you can see below:

Jack Franks got more votes for Delegate–9,630–than any other candidate in McHenry County.  He did run fourth.  Four Delegates will represent Congressman Randy Hultgren’s 14h District.

In Kane County, Franks did not do so well.

Maybe someone will put this tallies on a spreadsheet and send it to me. I’m too tired to add the figures up.

Jack Franks Can’t Carry His County for Clinton, Aguilar Runs First in 14th Congressional District — 23 Comments

  1. The amount of enthusiasm by the millenials for the “Bern” is of great concern!

Are we seeing the results of teacher indoctrination?

  2. You put you finger right on the problem Con Vot!

    Educators are the problem.

These young people with their “diplomas” and “degrees” just aren’t as good at making decisions as the uneducated.

Teachers fill their student’s heads with nonsense like-“Unions are responsible for the 40 hour week, child labor laws and the two day weekend.”

“Most scientists believe in global warming.”

Or, “Movie theaters put real butter on popcorn.”

That’s why Donald Trump love uneducated voters.

They’re not indoctrinated by science or history.

  3. Fighting Corruption, i think drunkenmchenry was being sarcastic.

    Read it again.

  4. His / her sarcasm did not go unnoticed.

    My question is unanswered.

  5. BS has woken the sleeping dragon cal.

BS had kids knocking my neighborhood had a little kid with.

Didn’t knock mine I have a trump sign.

The kids will make turn this county liberal even if not elected because they don’t care what they do if it is good or not.

they don’t want clinton and will make BS go to convention.

  6. As like Frank Murdoch, I wish Democrat voters could somehow be marked.

So if I encounter one on the street, I could see the mark, avoid them and say to myself

‘no, there’s not a possible thing that person could say to add value to my life’

  7. Jack Franks’ support of Hillary Clinton in Republican leaning McHenry County may be another reason Michael Madigan is concerned about Democrat Franks retaining the 63rd House Representative District, which is a key to Michael Madigan retaining super majority in the State House of Representative, a super majority being needed to overturn Governor Rauner vetoes.

And thus quite possibly another reason the Democrats planted a Democrat Jeffery Lichte in the 63rd State House District Republican Primary and piled on attack ads against the Republican whom prevailed in that election, Steve Reick.

  8. Send Franks back to hell this November …

and he can take his leprous “Leperchaun” Mike Madigan with him.

  9. Sorry I don’t know a thing about this Aguilar, as Mr. Breen seems to think he’s just peachy.

Is Aguilar a Marxist like his idol, Commissar Bernie?

If so, I really don’t find the kid too beneficial for anyone … maybe he’d be appreciated in certain circles in Havana, however, at least for a few more years … but certainly not here.

  10. Conservative voter- You are seeing the results of smart young people who see both parties pick the candidates and make the rules that the top 1/2% want. They are working to change the system. Congratulations
to Luis Aguilar and his helpers.

  11. DJ are you a Nazi trying to mark people like they did to the Jews? How un-American. Maybe you need to leave this country with your hatred.

  12. DJ, marking is kinda NAZI-ish.

But we could get an app that warns us when a Democrat or a liberal or a Yuppie or someone who went to college is approaching.

Then if they get too close we automatically engage ‘idea shields” that would block facts, evidence, logic and reason from harming our minds.

    OldManWinter, I agree!

    Socialism equals Soviet style Marxism!

Now some of these pointy headed Liberals will tell you that Socialist foreigners in Denmark are better off just because they are happier, healthier and live longer.

But just you try and buy a gun or a Big Mac over there.

    I. myself, won’t rest until all the socialist junk the democrats have foisted on to us is eliminated.

Socialist Security, Medicare, and banking regulations to name a few.

  13. someone knowing they will never afford a house, because of college, is not all that inspiring.

People having to work til the day they die, isn’t either.

    Blow your Trump elsewhere!

  14. McHenry has voted Republican in every General since the 1950s except for Obama in 2008.

This year, the Democrats voted overwhelmingly for Bernie Sanders.

It is largely a two class society – the business/manager class and the working class.

On the Republican side, Donald Trump trounced the others, but had only a few more votes than Bernie (21K votes).

  15. Liberals are sweeping across McHenry county like a tide, D J.

It’s like a game of GO.

Soon you’ll be surrounded and won’t be able to move.

You’ll just have to stand there and quiver in your conservative anger.

I suggest you stick your fingers in your ears and hum real loud.

  16. Wtf is wrong with ppl a young kid goes out and try’s to make a small difference in his community and he’s called a Marxist.

For anyone who wants to live like the republicans that have been voted into congress vote democrat.

For they are not the ones who send our sons to war.

They do not feel the pain we do.

They reep the rewards on there high horse with there full stomachs, and healthy bank accounts.

While the masses suffer, Go hungry, and rack up what seems to be endless debt.

The world is a stage, it’s like I’m watching a jerry springer episode and the republicans are the crowd, trump is the dad, Cruz might be the mom but we won’t get the results till after these messages.
