Cost to Record MCC Meetings

Comment has been made about how costly it is to record public meetings.

The College uses UStream to stream/archive video at board meetings (Committee of the Whole and Regular Board of Trustees Meeting).

This cost is approximately $99/month for this service.

That’s what I was told when I asked.

Crystal Lake High School District Board.

Crystal Lake High School District Board.

Crystal Lake High School District 155 is asking for $72,207,718.78 from taxpayers this year.

Surely the Board could spare $1,200 so taxpayers could see and hear what what its Board does.

The percentage is smaller than the rounding area for district finances.

The Board meets Tuesday evening at its at One South Virginia Road administration building at 7:30 in Crystal Lake.

  1. And what is good for the goose is good for the gander…

    McHenry County Board – POST.

I truly hope Management Services takes this up.

  2. Well gasser I don’t hear you or anyone else asking for this in the public forum only on this blog

  3. Live-streaming on Facebook is free! Just ask the Algonquin Township Republican Central Committee! And yes “Stand4truth” this was challenged to all other boards and committees by the ATRCC already!
