Celebrate Lakewood, Sunday, June 5, 2016
The Village of Lakewood will hold its fifth annual Celebrate Lakewood festival on Sunday, June 5, 2016 from Noon until 4:00 p.m. at Redtail Golf Club located at 7900 Redtail Drive, Lakewood, IL.
The event offers free fun for the whole family, with festivities including: a petting zoo, face painting, moonwalks, balloon artist, and putting contest.
Music will be performed by Bob Bero throughout the event.
Hot dogs and soda will be available for $1.00 each or donate a non-perishable food item for the Grafton Food Pantry and receive a hotdog or soda for FREE.
Additional beverages will also be available from the golf course beverage cart.
Vehicles from the Police, Fire and Public Works departments will be on display for interactive fun.
Be sure to haveyour child safety seat checked for proper installation by a certified car seat technician.
In keeping with the Village of Lakewood’s commitment to the environment, there will be a drop off for recyclables such as electronics, cardboard, batteries, clean Styrofoam, bubble wrap, and packing peanuts. No paint or hazardous waste please!
Celebrate Lakewood also provides an opportunity to get to know some of Lakewood’s locally owned businesses and local organizations, such as: Sexson Orthodontics, Chesterbrook Academy, Dirty Chicago, McNaughton Development, Pioneer Center, Turnberry Lakes Club, Grafton Township Food Pantry and more.
