Skillicorn Fundraiser

Around 70 local and state officials, republicans, and concerned citizens joined Illinois Comptroller Leslie Munger and McHenry County States Attorney nominee Patrick Kenneally to support Allen Skillicorn, who is looking to replace Representative Mike Tryon in the state legislature in a crowded banquet hall at Golf Club of Illinois in Algonquin.

Here is Skillicorn’s short talk:

Our state faces big problems… Overshadowing that however, is a partisan obstacle.

The issues at hand are larger than the majority of the General Assembly elected to solve them… And to be clear, by majority, I do mean Illinois Democrats.

The Democratic legislative leaders command veto-proof majorities in both chambers, but Speaker Madigan, would have you believe being the gentleman that he is, is so focused on working “respectfully and cooperatively” with the governor, that democrats can’t entertain the idea of passing a budget without
Bruce’s approval.

Right?

Not exactly.

The truth is closer to a fairytale about a Leprechaun defending his pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

Over the last fifty years Speaker Mike Madigan, a shrewd and industrious man, has amassed such wealth and power that he has little use for the governor.

Passing a budget with required cut, any cuts would not please the Speaker.

That’s why it’s not happening.

Ultimately it’s about pocket book issues.

Specifically their hand in your pocket book.

Chicago Democrats want more of your money to feed their corrupt, crime-ridden streets.

The bright-side is Speaker Madigan’s stubborn greed, clinging to this budget impasse, is his biggest downfall.

Illinois needs a two-party system now more than ever.

Voters are cheering for us to restore the bi-partisan balance every day.

  1. Gas bag gasser the tea bagger attended this event.

    No surprise there.

Rumor has it gas bag gasser left the county board committee of the whole early today.

    What a hypocrite.

    What a joke.

  2. Allen Skillicorn was the only trustee to vote against a balanced budget for East Dundee.

Why does Allen hate balanced budgets?

I mean, I guess it makes sense, being that he has blind loyalty to Governor Rauner and his unbalanced budgets.

  3. **Passing a budget with required cut, any cuts would not please the Speaker.**

Also, this shows how completely and utterly clueless Skillicorn is.

Does he know anything about the last 8-10 years of budgets?

Does he know anything about the large cuts that have happened under Madigan over the past several years?

The massive cuts to human services and other discretionary spending?

    Cuts to pensions?

    Workers comp?

    Medicaid?

    Yup.

Lets vote clueless and extreme Allen Skillicorn, who continually shows that he knows absolutely nothing about the state budget, state government, or anything else of actual substance impacting the state or the 66th district.

  4. Hey, “dirty gasser”, really?

Are you under the impression that your silly childish attacks are in any way making any impact?

I only wish you had an ounce of backbone and would let everyone know who you are.

I feel bad for you in that you feel so compelled to act out like a scorned teenager.

I and my family will pray for you and ask the Lord to help you find peace.

You have a lot of energy and if you only used it in a positive manner for a change, you could probably be so very productive.

    Peace be with you.

  5. Re: “Does he know anything about the large cuts that have happened under Madigan over the past several years? ”

More proof of: “The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits.”

We have seen a lot of examples of that from several recent posters.

However, it all ties in with “A majority of U.S. adults – 62% – get news on social media”

  6. Questioning: I’m not sure what the point you’re trying to make.

I guarantee you that I don’t get my news about state budgets from social media.

    I actually read budget books.

And have been directly involved in the budget process.

  7. If you want another Tea Partier and Rauner puppet in Springfield, definitely vote Skillicorn
