State Rep.Jack Franks has an all-purpose bumper sticker that showed up this week.

Selling Jack Franks as acceptable to Republicans is one of his time-honored strategies.

Selling Jack Franks as acceptable to Republicans is one of his time-honored strategies.

It doesn’t say what Franks is running for.

  • Is it State Representative?
  • Or County Board Chairman?

Anyone reading McHenry County Blog knows that Jack Franks is running for both offices.

That’s despite what Pete Gonigam got out of Franks.

Reporter Pete Gonigam found out when he asked Franks right after local Democrats slated him:

“Franks qualified that saying he’d give up the Rep. race if the Committee can pick another candidate who’s both ‘electable’ and holds a political outlook consistent with his own.”

You will remember that Gonigam was the only reporter in the room when the local Democratic Party slated Franks for the county office.

In any event Franks has not withdrawn from the State Rep. race, although he has filed petitions to run for the McHenry County Board Chairmanship.

Has Jack Franks filed a Withdrawal of Candidacy statement for State Representative yet?

  1. Walkup is not trustworthy.

No thanks I will take Jack Franks

  2. Which parts of the Turnaround Agenda is Jack Franks supporting and not supporting?

Since he accused Governor Rauner of union busting.

Jack Franks has never had to run for office as State Rep with an incumbent Governor whom has a strong clear agenda to reign in past hikes which are causing hiked taxes.

  3. Franks is not good for IL and he’s a hypocrite. Anyone that will vote for him, are part of the problem!
Walkup is definitely the lesser of the two evils.
