Found this paving block on the Town Square in Huntley:
My father met Henry Marlow while on jury duty.
Every summer Marlow brought eggs to hatch at the McHenry County Fair.
Perhaps you can imagine how excited the kids were to see that happen.
Marlow (and everyone else who) helped me win the Republican Primary Election for County Treasurer in 1966 by 72 votes.
Did you take this recently, Cal?
Our town square has been redone and is gorgeous!
The new Veteran’s Memorial will have the ribbon cutting on July 2nd.
I am also happy that both Morkes Candy and Elated Boutique were mentioned by the Fox Valley residents in the NW Herald’s “Best of Fox” lists.
A mile marker of time gone by in Huntley.
