The only Jack Franks political sign that mentioned an office in the Crystal Lake Independence Day Parade was one for State Representative. Note that black tape covers something on the bottom of the sign, but it is not the words “State Representative.”
State Rep. Jack Franks brought his supporters to Crystal Lake for the July 3rd Independence Day Parade.
Jack Franks Cadillac was in the parade followed by “We love Crystal Lake” sign carriers.
It was the first time I have seen him in this parade.

His State Rep. district contains precious little, if any, of Crystal Lake.
There is no mention of the town on his listing of areas represented.
The tee shirts worn by Jack Franks’ supporters also don’t mention what office he is seeking.
So, why was Franks in Crystal Lake?
One must assume that it was because of his candidacy for McHenry County Board Chairman.
Is he running for State Rep.?
I asked State Senator Pam Althoff and she told me he had told the paper (Northwest Herald) that he was.
(Not since the first May article, if memory serves me correctly.)

Jack Franks talked to supporters before the parade. Just in case people didn’t know he was a official, he wore a shirt with a state seal.
State Rep. Barb Wheeler said Franks had told her he wasn’t running for re-election to the Illinois House.
Still, when one checks the Illinois State Board of Elections web site for the names of those who have withdrawn from the fall ballot, Jack Franks’ name does not appear.
Ahe did tell reporter Pete Gonigam on May 15th something different from the “I’m not running again” statement he apparently gave all other reporters:
“Franks qualified that saying he’d give up the Rep. race if the Committee can pick another candidate who’s both ‘electable’ and holds a political outlook consistent with his own.”
Maybe Franks will drop out of the State Rep. race; maybe he won’t.
Franks has something to worry about.
The people are aware of his not so pristine track record.
He will have to work for the upcoming elections.
Further, it doesn’t appear as though he has a large group of supporters.
We the people are ready for reform in government and therefore Franks must be out!
Looks like someone can afford a $65,000.00 car.

walkup is running on the idea that his ancestors were the first people to settle here once upon a time in his fairy tale.
I think maybe he was thinking of the Crandall’s and John Brink is the one that put us on the map not a walkup.

The fact that Walkups ancestors were the first people to settle in McHenry County is not a fairy tale, it’s a part of McHenry County History.
And, Walkups ancestors are not a political platform, so quit twisting the truth.
We should be voting someone because of their accomplishments not because their family was one of the first settlers of Crystal Lake.
What accomplishment does Walkup run on I have seen none.
Please be specific about these accomplishments unlike the quote by Salgado saying he has served on the the county board as this does not justify an accomplishment that qualifies him to serve a the first county board chairman elected by the people.
In fact Walkup has not served my interest as a taxpayer of the the 3rd district nor my interest as a resident of McHenry County.

It just so happens that I have this incredibly interesting picture of Bob Demodica with really long hair, looking like a hippie from the 60’s.
It is believed, the picture was taken in the 80’s and it looked as though he took a trip back to the past and landed in the future…lol….

He looks like he could have been a real partier.

Surely, all of McHenry County would find themselves laughing their you know whats off, once they see the picture.

Jack Franks has made a mockery of McHenry County Politics.
He has been Madigan’s puppet for way to long.
Walkup will bring reform to government and Franks will keep us in the dark ages.
Put a screeching halt to the the Madigan and Franks gravy train on election day and vote for Mike Walkup.
Fighting Corruption actually Jack Franks is the only representative to bring McHenry County out of the dark ages.
Walkup has hitched himself to Donna Kurtz and the others in the County who really only run on their family history.
Kurtz mother beat Cal Skinner and brought reform to McHenry similar to Jack Franks that is why everyone likes him even republicans.
Walkup runs with no history of reform rather he tries to use his family name similar to Donna Kurtz using her mothers service to our county.
The banking on name recognition is not true reform or voters who are uniformed.
Franks will be our next county chairman and I cannot wait to see him sworn into office and start the necessary clean up of McHenry.
Walkup is not the one who can provide any leadership or reform rather he is a follower and not a good one at that.

News flash, people are moving out of Illinois in record numbers.
Further, Illinois is considered the most corrupt State in the Country.
So, I hardly see that as reforming Illinois. Madigan, has been in control for decades and Franks has been his puppet.

Have you looked at a map of foreclosures in McHenry County and across the State of Illinois?
Try comparing that to places, like Texas, North Dakota and Colorado, who are not affected by bad economy.

Franks and Madigan have had a significant amount of time to prove that they are capable of turning around the dynamics of Illinois politics and they have failed miserably!

MAD MIKEY Madigan and his entourage have OUTRIGHT refused to work it out with Governor Rauner.

He has already proven that.

What has Walkup done in his 3 plus years on the Board?
(1) Helped reform the Mental Health Board so taxpayer dollars intended for direct patient care were not wasted on a lavish building, bloated bureaucracy, and unnecessary lawyer’s fees
(2) Helped stop the $125 million Continuous Flow Intersection at Randall and Algonquin
(3) Re-wrote the board bules so the Board is more open and democratic
(4) Voted to keep the tax levy flat four years an a row, something that no other government has done
(5) Froze the Valley Hi levy last year
(6) Removed county board from IMRF pension plan

Was Walkup part of a board that kept a flat levy for 4 yrs., decreased the budget this past year, help fix the Mental Health Board, wrote the rules to be more transparent, but as a County Board Member his ideas to keep take the levy away from Valley Hi saved taxpayer dollars.
What has Jack Franks done?
Listen to the Lobbyist on how to vote including the unions.
He bitches about lobbyist but he votes for the ones that give him money!
