In addition to his software company,

Mr. Oberoi has a significant real estate portfolio, including a nine hole golf course in DeKalb, IL.

“As the new owner, I plan to schedule an open house in the very near future,” said Mr. Sundeep Oberoi.

“We want to engage the members, neighbors, and larger community in an open dialogue about how to build on the strengths of the club and craft a vision to shape a strategy and direction for the facility. It is our goal to have Turnberry Country Club serve as the golf and social destination for McHenry County and the greater northern Illinois area.”

Turnberry Country Club is located at 9600 Turnberry Trail, Village of Lakewood IL.

Established in 1972 by Arthur McIntosh, Turnberry Country Club boasts a 30,000 square foot French Normandy style clubhouse, a renovated 3,900 square foot banquet room, and four tennis courts.

Its crown jewel is the E. Lawrence Packard designed par 72 golf course. It has hosted a U.S. Open Qualifier and was also the site of the Illinois Open.

The course, with multiple tees, allows golfers of all abilities to have a rewarding experience.

  1. Do we have to do a FOIA request to get the sales price?

    Who was the Seller?

  2. WinTrust Bank sold it, I assume.

Purchase price should eventually be filed with the McHenry County Supervisor of Assessments.

  3. Will they do a better job than the current owners of Plum Tree?
