Harvard Police Ready to Be Dunked

With all the stories about tension between police and citizens, the Harvard Police Department has come up with a bonding idea I haven’t seen before.

Can anyone imagine a better way to humanize police officers than Harvard has come up with?

As a reminder, the Harvard Police Department is hosting National Night Out on Tuesday 08-02-16 from 6:00 pm until 8:30 pm at the Harvard Moose Family Center Outdoor Pavilion (22500 W. Route 173). Complimentary hot dogs and water will be provided along with:

  • A Chance to Meet and Greet Harvard’s First Responders,
  • Balloon Sculpting,
  • Juggling Show,
  • Fire Truck Display,
  • Bouncy House,
  • Comedy Show,
  •  Free Door Prizes and
  • A Dunk Tank!

Some of the participants in the Dunk Tank include Chief Krause, Det. Leard and Officer Burton, who will retire that night! If anyone else would like to be involved, please reach out to Officer Burton ([email protected]).

This event is open to everyone, parking, food, water and participation is free.

The event is sponsored by the Harvard Community Partnership Coalition, Harvard State Bank, Harvard Moose Lodge, City of Harvard, Walmart, J’s Lanes, Northwest Rescue-Critical Care Transport, Harvard Savings Bank and the Harvard Fire Department.
