Glenda Miller chatted with Nick Provenzano.
McHenry County Treasurer Glenda Miller held a fundraiser at Labemi’s near the Crystal Lake train station.
State Senator Dan McConchie and State’s Attorney candidate Patrick Kenneally were among the guests.
When I arrived the place looked deserted.
Threatening storm clouds cleared the deck. Here you can see State Rep. candidate Steve Reick and former State Senator Jack Schaffer
The reason, I discovered, is everyone was out on the deck in back.
Jack Schaffer wasn’t first one to hurry to his car.
With the storm moving in, people either headed for their vehicles or inside.
Republican State’s Attorney candidate Patrick Kenneally,
There was plenty to discuss with the Democrats having just fielded their second candidate for State’s Attorney.
State Rep. Mike Tryon and the Republican running to replace him, Allen Skillicorn, conferred.
Does she understand that Jack o’ no trades Schaffer only loses her votes?
Does she imagine herself a pint-sized ‘Evita’ who can dazzle the populace with grandiose gestures from a balconey.
I want to know why she’s even in her position???!!!
She’s hardly a social conservative … plus she bashes Trump.
Is she a Republican at all???
That’s my question.
Those storm clouds on the horizon are the perfect metaphor for GOP campaigns catering to the likes of fatcat grandees like Schaffer.
Schaffer boasts about his and his wife’s G I G A N T I C IL multi-pensions ……
Glenda is aligning herself with the good old boys like Provenzano and Tryon and anyone else trying to make sure the party does not turn on her
Old Man Writer…you have nothing but negative things to write.
How is that helpful?
An old man, i would think, would drop the negativity and produce something useful.
Glenda’s husband Paul is a democrat for sure and most of her money comes from democrats.
You decide.
Hey Cal-Thanks for your great photography work! Of course we could all be running for President on that stormy afternoon and I thought that I could have become President and that you were running for political office one last time and that people could become overwhelmed by the problems of this world.
