CL Police Seek Help in YMCA Vehicle Buglaries

A press release from the Crystal Lake Police Department:

The Crystal Lake Police Department Investigate Multiple Burglaries from Motor Vehicles

On September 12th, 2016, at approximately 0904 hours Crystal Lake Police responded to the Sage YMCA, 701 Manor Road, for a report of a male subject committing a vehicle burglary.

The offender left the scene prior to police arrival in the company of another male subject.

Upon arrival, Officers located five separate vehicles with windows broken and personal property taken from within.

Items stolen from the victims included purses and small amounts of US currency.

Evidence was recovered from the scene and this case remains an active investigation.

Crystal Lake Police would like to remind the public to not only lock your car doors, but to also not leave any valuable items within plain view.
