So, lets’ try to understand this.

In Mr. Franks 7/15/16 letter to Township Officials of McHenry County, he asks for their support as he seeks the County Board Chairman’s position.
In doing so, he states…
“…I could do more to help the people of McHenry County as the Chairman of the Board instead of as a Representative in Springfield.”
He goes on to say that
“We can have lower taxes in McHenry County but it will require hard work and a willingness to make some tough decisions as we root out waste and corruption.”
He outlines the “centerpiece” of his campaign as a “Cut10” plan.
His “Cut10” plan is defined as reducing the county levy by 10% across the board.
This from
- a man who, for decades, has been in the majority party in Springfield
- a man who has been party to driving our state rating to junk-bond status
- a man who has been party to the “pension” debacle currently ripping the state apart
- a man who accepts huge donations from the very unions protected by the budget stalemate in Springfield
- a man who takes great pride in having written hundreds of “laws” that attack and cause unintended consequence to residents, state wide
- a man whose largest donations come from “Chicago” people
all this outlines but a few of the irresponsible actions/associations of Mr. Franks and his party.
Can a tiger change its stripes?
Had the McHenry County Board been as irresponsible as this candidate wants you to believe, the county would not be ranked among the State’s top solvent, well-run counties.
For the last 4+ budget years, McHenry County systematically reduced costs and not asked for tax increases.
Had Mr. Franks actually been interested in what our county board has been doing, he would have known this.
Reality is that the county IS being responsible.
To his accusation of “corruption” in McHenry County; it would be wise to let us know what he is talking about.
This is especially important since this man and his political party are masters of dirty tactics.
Over the years, these tactics have thrown aspersions on good, honest people as he and his crowd laugh all the way to the political office they currently target for takeover.
This is not idle chatter as numerous good people have been in the cross hairs of the Franks/Democrat Party lies, half-truths and dirty campaign antics.
In all, it seems apparent that he needs to look at his property tax bill.
Had he done so, and actually understood the bill, he would be beating up on, and running for a position on his local school board.
The sorry reality is that in the grand scheme of things, he sees the county board chairmanship as a power base.
A power base extending the Michael Madigan / Cook County power grab.
Could the county do more to reduce the cost of government, yes.
Will they take action to accomplish deeper cost cutting, yes?
They are in possession of just such a road for serious cost cutting action!
As a member of the majority in Springfield, Mr. Franks was unable to achieve fiscal sanity of state government.
Lust how do you think this person will accomplish anything other than drive our county into the same quagmire as the state?
Truth is that he WILL NOT be any more responsible in the county chairman’s position than he has been as a state representative.
Leopards do not change their spots.
Do cheetahs change their spots?
If voters fall for Mr. Franks campaign tactics… they deserve what they get.
He must be held responsible for being part of the horrific condition of our state government…
We cannot let him destroy our county as well!

Ms. Salgado Mr Shorten and the leaders should ask ALL Republican candidates who they support for chair.
Get it in writing.
If Reince Priebus can kick people out of the GOP for not supporting Trump, certainly it can be done at the local level for supporting Jack Franks.
Get answers NOW so the traitors can be denounced and removed from the Republican part of the ballot.

In case you think I am exaggerating, take notice of the ‘thugs’ Jack has at his Town Hall meetings and compare it to the thugs at Clinton rallies.

Jack Franks pushed for the County Executive form of government that was defeated in the November 6, 2012 referendum.
Larry Walsh is Democrat County Executive of Will County.
If the McHenry County county executive form of government referendum had succeeded, and Jack Franks successfully run for that position, we would have two collar counties with Democrat County Executives.
Cut 10 is Cut 1.
The County is about 10% of the average municipal property tax bill.
10% of 10% is 1%.
As for the other taxing districts, a better name for the self named Jack Franks bully pulpit is Jack Franks Pretty Please request.
So far not a single taxing district has publicly said they will lower their property tax request (levy).
Zero.
Jack Franks’ signature campign piece has no taxing district support.
It is a campaign pitch that has no chance of succeeding.
If it does succeed for any taxing districts, how sustainable is it.
How are any taxing district with underfunded police or fire pensions, of which there are several as previously mentioned, going to cut the property tax request from the taxing district to the county (levy) by 10%, when they have not fully funded pensions.
Every day a pension is not fully funded is costing property taxpayers money due to lost investment returns.
Does not cost the employees or pensioners a dime.
Unless the pensions cannot be paid in full at some point.
Which is a risk, despite the sentence in the state constitution, which says retirement systems are contractual, and the benefits cannot be diminished or impaired.
Most of the Township hacks would become Communists if the Communists were in power, so why wouldn’t they sink lower than that and go with the porcine Liar???
