September House Republican Organization Support for Steve Reick’s State Rep. Campaign — 10 Comments

  1. He would not have received a dime of it if Franks was running.

    We can presume Reick will now win and also presume that he will be subject to his donors and their minions orders.

    The whole system is corrupt.

  2. **Blanusha and Thall live in Chicago. Thall lives in Springfield.**

    Cool – I remember when ya’ll used to attack (Democratic) folks for bringing folks in from outside the district.

  3. I doubt Mike Noonen, who was Jack Franks’ campaign manager in the beginning of his almost 18 years in office, was from McHenry County.

    I believe he lived in Chicago.

  4. Steve Reick WILL DO the RIGHT thing
    At the RIGHT time unlike the vacating
    State rep. Who was & is still bought
    & payed for.

  5. Republican Steve Reick v Democrat John Bartman for 63rd District State Representative.

    Election November 8, 2016.

    Jack Franks, the incumbent Democrat 63rd District State Representative, is not running for re-election, rather, is the Democrat candidate for McHenry County Board Chair v Mike Walkup.

    +++++

    Republican Steve Reick beat Democrat Jeffery Lichte in the Republican primary election for 63rd District State Representative held on March 15, 2016.

    How does a Democrat run as a Republican in a primary election?

    Simple, he files nominating petitions with the Illinois State Board of Elections as a Republican.

    The signature gatherers for those nominating petitions were all outside McHenry County, other than Jeffery Lichte himself.

    How do we know Jeffery Lichte is a Democrat?

    There is lots of evidence:

    – The Google Maps picture of his residence contains a Jack Franks campaign sign

    – He voted Democrat in previous elections

    – He was pictured wearing a Jack Franks baseball hat while driving a vehicle supporting Jack Franks in the McHenry Fiesta Days parade this summer.

    – He was pictured wearing a Jack Franks baseball hat while at a Jack Franks campaign event in McHenry this election cycle. The campaign event was labeled a town hall meeting.

    – His name appears on a past Jack Franks Host committee fundraiser flyer.

    – Those are the examples that come to mind at the moment, there may be others.

    +++++++

    Meanwhile as reported in the last week on the blog, Jack Franks supporters are placing Jack Franks campaign signs on the lawns of people who did not ask for a Jack Franks campaign sign.

  6. **I doubt Mike Noonen, who was Jack Franks’ campaign manager in the beginning of his almost 18 years in office, was from McHenry County.**

    You completely miss the point.

    You and others have attacked Franks (and Licthe) for bringing folks in from outside the district.

    But you’re silent about Reick and HRO doing it.

    I don’t care that either side does it. Just pointing out the hypocrisy.

  7. jim,

    you dont have a clue what you are talking about.

    typical lib

  8. So, would you say Jack Franks has a similar relationship with those who have given him over $1 million?

  9. Jeffery Lichte, the Democrat who filed as a Republican candidate for 63rd District State Representative in the March 15, 2016 primary election, brought in people from outside the district?

    Who did Jeffery Lichte bring in?

    He actually did something in that campaign?

    What did he actually do?

    Who was running the Jeffery Lichte campaign?

    Who from the Democrats brought in outsiders for a Democrat candidate running as a Republican?

    +++++++

    November 20, 2015 – Jeffery Lichte files as a Republican for 63rd District State Representative with the Illinois State Board of Elections (SBE).

    ++++++

    Jeffery Lichte did not have a PAC.

    +++++++

    The PAC that supported Jeffery Lichte, which has subsequently been closed, was Government for the People.

    Government for the People was an independent expenditure PAC that supported Jeffery Lichte and opposed Steve Reick.

    Looking at the Illinois State Board of Elections (SBE) website, the Government for the People committee was created on March 7, 2016.

    8 days prior to the March 15, 2016 election.

    The committee ID assigned by the SBE was 32046.

    The political party affiliation listed by Government for the People on the D-1 Statement of Organization was Republican.

    Republican.

    Yet not a single person associated with that PAC is a Republican.

    The PAC opposed Republican Steve Reick, but Steve Reick is obviously not involved in that PAC.

    The chairman of the PAC was John Biesk.

    Yet John Biesk apparently forgot how to print his name on line 9 of the Statement of Organization.

    In Line 9 of the Statement of Organization, the name is clearly spelled Bieck.

    BieCk.

    Not BieSk.

    So did John Biesk forget how to print and spell his name?

    Or did someone other than John Biesk complete the form and forge his signature?

    ++++++++++
