Joe Tirio Seeks 100 People to Purchase Tickets to Movie on Child Sex Trafficking

Joe Tirio of Woodstock has taken on still another project in addition to his running as the Republican candidate for McHenry County Recorder of Deeds.

He is promoting a movie entitled, “The Abolitionists,” on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 from 5:30 pm – 6:55 pm at the Regal Crystal Lake Showplace.

“Just a reminder, that neither I, nor my campaign will benefit financially from this.

“Any proceeds that would normally come to the ‘promoter’ will be given to Operation Underground Railroad (the organization you wills in the movie),” he writes.

“It’s also important to note that the tickets [to the movie “The Abolitionists”] need to be purchased in advance and we need to sell about 95 more to ensure that the movie will be shown.

“The deadline to sell the tickets is October 3rd [that’s tomorrow],” he continues.

“I’ll also be renting the Birthday Party room beforehand so we can mingle and chat amongst ourselves,” Tirio writes.

  1. It’s $13.00!

IF I had $13.00 I would rather send it the organization that benefits may go to.

This one is a pretty tough sell, Joe.

  2. Joe Tirio you are nothing more than an opportunist why don’t you crawl back in your hole and take your wife with you.

Since you would not hire your wife why should we have to deal with her.

  3. Cindy, I would to have you as my guest.

I have a couple extra tickets, so please just confirm to my email that you can make it and I’ll save one for you.

Looking forward to meeting you in person and closing the transportation transfer loophole in January.

  4. Cindy, Churches and other organizations host these to help save children, educate the public, and draw groups who can do something about this in several capacities.

Churches, benevolent groups, anti-crime organizations that hosted private screenings have yielded far more than $13/ticket to the heros who save these childrens’ lives and the production company that helped spread awareness while risking their lives.

It draws donations far more than the price for admission.

And it’s hosted simultaneously through the country multiplying the good works of these heroes and donors.

Kudos to Tirio’s organization for trying to bring this to a local venue.

If I get tickets and go, great.

If we can’t make it, we’ll donate the tickets and know that it went to something worthwhile.

  5. Since I’m the one that has been telling you about the pedophiles running all the governments in the world, why do you two feel the need to explain this movie to me?

    I don’t go to movies.

This is a hard sell because it is very late and it’s a really tough subject to watch.

    What is your problem, people?

  6. As my granddaughter would say JoseWhales is jelly! (jealous)

My educated guess is that it’s Joni Smith (Primary Loser for Recorder’s position)
