House Republicans Pop for $16,500 More for Steve Reick

As Republican State Rep. candidate Steve Reick is singled out by Tribune columnist Eric Zorn as a probably pick-up seat for the GOP, the House Republican Organization has plopped down another $16,500 for his campaign.

However, Reick is probably more interested in how many people will attend his free Patsy Cline tribute concert and pig roast in Lawrence tomorrow afternoon from 2-6.

  1. How is this different than Franks getting “outside of McHenry County” funding?

I know that Cal and most others on the blog dislike Franks but it seems sad that Cal reports this like it’s so different.

  2. The True Value Distribution Center on the map is at the locaton of the former Admiral television manufacturing plant.

  3. **How is this different than Franks getting “outside of McHenry County” funding?**

    Its not any different.

    And really?

Reick cares more about how many people will attend his free event than the money that is being spent that could actually help him win?

  4. Alabamashake, I thing Cal was just being humorous about the pig roast.

Steve is working to get the vote out and that is what the event is all about.

You should lighten up and go get some free food.
