  1. I respect his drive and the direction he is pro suing.

Maybe a write in candidate for County Board Chair if it isn’t to late?

  2. Paul is absolutely right!

    What an effort!

Queen Erin wants to build an empire with her own baseball team, what is next?

  3. This almost seems too good to be true.

Clearing out nearly the entire pack in one fell swoop!

We may actually consider staying in Lakewood after all.

Go Team “Lakewood Tax Fighter” GO!

  4. …and this is how you do it. Honestly you could easily teach a few Poli-Sci classes off of what Paul has done in Lakewood and McHenry County.

And frankly, this is why so many local politicos are “upset”.

Paul is speaking directly to the people and stepping over the Ken Santowskis of the world.

Paul will lose more votes on the Lakewood Board between now and election day but when the new board is sworn in and they begin the hard work of unraveling years of patronage and crony-capitalism – the residents in the Village of Lakewood will win.

As my friend Matt would say –

REMEMBER WHY YOU ARE DOING IT.

  5. That’s why Jack Franks called him Enemy #1 ….

    Walkup was only 57th!

  6. Santowski and Smith have indicated that Santowski IS SMITH’S CHOSEN SUCCESSOR to fill her seat as Village President.

Both Smith and Santowski have indicated that they aim wage all out war to protect the little fiefdom they have created for themselves.

Serwatka has been upsetting their apple-cart since his candidacy to become trustee.

Since his being elected, Paul has continued to shine the light on the all the places they have intentionally kept in the dark and now, just as they find themselves with very few shadows left to hide behind, Paul shows up with a spot light!

Judging solely by what those paying attention have seen of Santowski’s actions and supported policies over the past year or so, I can’t imagine a worse choice to represent Lakewood residents.

    * Putting taxpayers at enormous risk of unfathomable property tax increases.
    * His continued and repeated actions to purposefully prevent transparency with residents
    * His purposeful actions to block important information from residents
    * His voting to close meetings to the public
    * His voting to NOT allow residents to speak and ask questions at village meetings
    * His voting to award large, SECRET bonuses to village administrators

All this considered – it is no wonder that Smith and her patronage crew so desparately seek to have Santowski take over the her “Captain’s seat” on the “Business as Usual” Express. With Ken Santowski as village President, “Business as Usual” lives on.

Serwatka and this new “Lakewood Tax-Fighter” slate represent a new day for Lakewood. This slate has come to represent the residents!
