Now that you have read the articles about the debate over the McHenry County Administrator’s contract, below is what the County Board members had in front of them during the debate.
The proposed contact, by the way, was not posted on the county’s web site along with other agenda items.
Transparency apparently was not desired.
Correct Cal, we received this contract at our desk at the County’s Board meeting.
All negative debate from non-committee members was done on “the fly!”
Not the way an important contract should be discussed.

It does seem excessive.
The package not the salary

It’s outrageous that the contract allows him to carry forward unused leave without limit.
That practice should be ended for all government employees.
