  1. GRANTS – The current replacement for ‘EARMARKS’.

Whether it is the dissemination of locally collected tax dollars (Senior Service tax) or tax dollars collected at the State and Federal level to be divided up among lower level units of government AND non-governmental agencies, it is no different then King George holding his annual ‘begging’ sessions!!

My, has our society not progressed?

I will vote for any candidate that works to eliminate GRANTS!!

We have College courses in Grant writing!!

We have public sector employees who do NOTHING but complete applications for GRANTS!!~

There is a Grant Writers Association that offers courses which are currently on sale!
    http://www.agwa.us/onlinegrantwriting

“Price: The regular price $699.00 per person. On sale for $649.00 per person thru 11/4/16 – online purchases only.”

It is no wonder government is becoming a bigger burden on the taxpayers than what they can afford!!!

During my lifetime I have witnessed the following: VOLUNTEER AGENCIES FUNDED WITH CHARITABLE CONTRIBUTIONS REPLACED BY GOVERNMENT CONTROLLED AGENCIES FUNDED WITH CONFISCATED MONEY – TAXES!!

We now have Churches receiving grants. What is next? Government will dictate to the Church!!

A government controlled agency will always cost more to operate than a volunteer agency BUT it gives the ELITE (government bureaucrats) a tighter control over YOUR hard earned wages!!!

Like it or not, we are progressing toward a communist nation!

  2. And we wonder why McHenry County is one of the highest taxed counties in United States.

We have MCB playing Santa Claus with taxpayer money under the guise of the public good.

They did this with Valley Hi all the while accumulating reserves in excess of 40 Million Dollars, 5X annual operating expenses in contravention to a long line of Illinois Supreme Court and Appellate Court holdings.

    Beware of government’s bearing gifts.
