Talk about bad timing.
Three direct mail pieces for Republican candidate for State Rep. Steve Reick arriving in at least one mailbox today.
They came from three sources:
- the Steve Reick campaign
- the House Republican Organization and the Illinois
- the Illinois Republican Party
You can see them below:
This Steve Reick mailer is just for name identification. Here is the address side.
“I Like Reick,” says the campaign button harking back to the 1952 Presidential campaign of Dwight D. Eisenhower.
The second Steve Reick mailing, sent by the House Republican Organization, reminds voters that Democratic opponent John Bartman would be part of House Speaker Mike Madigan’s team. Although the Jack Franks memo requesting that Bartman be hired, along with members Franks’ family and others is not mentioned, there is also a photo of Rod Blagojevich, who followed Franks’ advice and put Bartman in a patronage job at the Illinois Department of Transportation.
The back of this mailing supporting Steve Reick tries to tie what the Illinois House has done under the leadership of Mike Madigan to John Bartman.
In this third mailing supporting Steve Reick, the Illinois Republican Party attempts to pin the current problems of the State of Illinois on Mike Madigan, the man who runs the Illinois House to which Democrat John Bartman seeks election.
The back of this Steve Reick mailing shows a single mother comforting her daughter.
