From Rich Miller, Editor of Capitol Fax referring to chances of Republicans picking up a seat that would end the veto-proof majority that House Speaker Mike Madigan has:

And, seriously, they’re likely gonna pick up one seat anyway with Rep. Jack Franks’ departure.

  1. Do it Mchenry County Voters,
Send Jacko & the cook county
    MADIGOONS a message !

    Vote for the AMAZING
    STEVE REICK
    😁 😁 😁

  2. Bartman has absolutely not one qualification to be a State Representative.

His only purpose would be to follow Madigan’s wishes.

  3. AND November 5, 2016 NEWSWEEK has the Victory Special Edition Clinton Madame President already printed and boxed ready to ship.

    Not much of an election?

  4. Well I certainly hope so!

We don’t need a Madigan minion in our district let alone a disgraced Gov Blago patronage hire.

(Jack Franks wrote a letter to Blago saying he should hire Franks family and friends. Batman is Franks cousin)

He got the job at IDOT but has no qualifications or character that would make him a good choice!

  5. Democrat John Bartman v Republican Steve Reick for 63rd District State Representative.

    Election Tuesday November 8, 2016.

    ++++++++

Jack Franks, not John Bartman, was the Democrat candidate for the March 15, 2016 primary election.

Steve Reick was opposed by Democrat Jeffery Lichte in the primary election.

    ++++++++

How does the incumbent Democrat go unopposed, yet the Republican candidate is opposed, if there are two Democrats and one Republican in the election?

The second Democrat, Jeffery Lichte, filed to run as a Republican.

Here are the candidate filings from the Illinois State Board of Elections (SBE) website.

November 23, 2015 – Jack Franks files as a Democrat candidate.

November 30, 2015 at 1:15PM – Steve Reick files as a Republican candidate.

November 30, 2015 at 2:45PM – Jeffery Licthe files as a Republican candidate.

The filing deadline was November 30, 2015.

The primary campaign events were recorded on Steve Reick’s blog (Illinoyances) and McHenry County Blog.

    Thus it Begins

    – The “Commission of Fiscal Responsibility” is distributing a letter labeling Mr. Reick as a “Good Old Boy Politician” and containing alleged defamation statements.

(The Commission of Fiscal Responsibility is an unknown entity, meaning, no website or registration as an entity has been located.)

Buying and Selling the 2016 Election

    – Mr. Reick announces the Republican Party will not provide financial support to his campaign.

(Remember at this point Steve Reick would have opposed Jack Franks in the fall general election, not John Bartman.)

    – Given this and the aforementioned flyer, Mr. Reick states he will not file to run as a candidate for 63rd District State Representative in the March 15, 2016 primary election.

Apparently the Democrats read Steve Reick’s blog.

On November 24, 2016, the McHenry Township Precinct 26 Republican Committeeman Andy Glab relayed to the McHenry Township Republican Central Committee Chairman Steve Rooney that petitions are being circulated for Jeffery Lichte to run as a Republican in the 63rd State Representative District.

Steve Rooney is also Vice Chairman of the McHenry County Republican Party, and McHenry Township Precinct 15 Republican Committeeman.

Apparently Steve Rooney notified the state Republican party whom contacted Steve Reick with an offer of financial support to assist in defeating Jeffery Lichte.

As a related side note, Jack Franks was a candidate for two positions in the March 15, 2016 general election.

January 4, 2016 – Jack Franks files as a Hillary Clinton delegate for the 14th Congressional District to the Democratic National Convention.

Jack Franks was one of two delegates for the 14th Congressional District elected as a Hillary Clinton delegate.

Jack Franks attended the Democratic National Convention as a Hillary Clinton Delegate.

The Democratic National Convention was held July 25 – July 28, 2016.

  6. Jack Franks PACs made the following expenditures to John Bartman.

    July 24, 2000 – $11, volunteer meals.

    September 6, 2000 – $100, staff salaries.

    November 9, 2000 – $115, printing at Kinkos

    December 12, 2000 – $388, staff salaries

    November 4, 2002 – $1,000, election day expenses

    February 10, 2003 – $700, staff salary

    September 19, 2007 – $200, community relations

  7. With GEMS being used to COUNT your votes in McHenry County, I am not going to predict any logical outcome.

Hopefully we will have Poll Watchers who know what to look for.

Hopefully we had Poll Watchers monitor the testing of the election equipment (NOTE: The ‘test’ does not apply to early voting).

Hopefully candidates have determined they need their own poll watchers observing the ‘count’ because I see zero evidence of ANY organized ‘party’ poll watching.

Hopefully ‘predictions’ and ‘polls’ will not cause any voter to not vote because ‘it is in the bag’!

Forever hopeful we have an honest election! Say an extra prayer Cindy!

BTW Cindy, keep a copy of the election results and compare them to what is published next week.

  8. Poll watchers won’t do any good if the machines are not working the way they should.

And they still were not on Saturday.

  9. If the machines are not working the way they should, where are the lawyers from the primary political parties?
