Don Lockhart
Marengo Mayor Don Lockhart has endorsed Lying Jack Franks for McHenry County Board Chairman.
He is an elected Republican Precinct Committeeman.
Woodstock Mayor Brian Sager is also endorsed Franks.
At the time of his endorsement, Sager was also an elected Republican Precinct Committeeman.
Sager decided to resign his party post.
Now, Lockhart has been asked to resign his party post.
You can read the email he received from McHenry County Republican Central Committee Vice Chairman Steve Rooney below:
It has come to the attention of our McHenry County Republican Central Committee that you are endorsing Democrat candidate(s).
As a high profile Official and Republican Precinct Committeeman, we are certainly encouraged to support our candidates, or at least not endorse the Democrats.
Woodstock Mayor Brian Sager, when alerted of this conflict was faced with the personal choice to pull his endorsement, or resign as Committeeman.
He chose the latter.
The entire leadership team of the Committee is asking you at this point to make the choice.
Awesome and bye bye na na heh heh !
This should have happened more then a day before the election.
Next step should be to vote on removal Lockhart if he doesn’t respond.
More accurately Mr. Lockhart was asked to pull his endorsement for Jack Franks, or resign as a Republican Township Precinct 2 Committeeman.

Are there any State or County Board of Elections rules or state laws that must be followed in such circumstances?
Or the party itself at the state or county level makes the rules?
Don Lockhart and Brian Sager were also on the 2015 Jack Franks Host Committee List.
The Host Committee List is used to market Jack Franks fundraisers.
Lockhart looks like a mob boss to me.

Mr. Lockhart is the legally elected Republican Precinct Captain and is empowered by Illinois Law to serve in that capacity.
He did not give up his First Amendment rights to run for that office, and neither Mr. Rooney nor anyone else has the power to enforce anything which contradicts the law.
Please reflect on all of the McHenry County Republican Goode Olde Boyz who supported Democrats when Cal Skinner beat their candidate(s) in the Republican Primary(ies).

Precinct Committeeman is a party post, not a public post.
The job of a Precinct Committeeman is to represent the GOP.
