Algonquin Township Republican Primary is a Free For All

On the first day of filing in Algonquin Township Republicans have come out in what is sure to be the bellwether Republican Primary Elections.  As of 5pm here is who has thrown their hat into the ring:

Algonquin Township Supervisor:

Current Clerk Chuck Lutzow and Current Crystal Lake Trustee Ellen Brady Mueller have submitted petitions.  Lutzow is also the Republican Committeeman in Algonquin Township Precinct 5.

Algonquin Township Clerk:

Current Algonquin Township Trustee Melissa Sanchez-Fisher will square off against former Village of Cary Trustee Karen Lukasik.

Algonquin Township Highway Commissioner:

Robert Miller is seeking another term as the highway commissioner.

Algonquin Township Assessor:

Richard Alexander is running to replace Bob Kunz who is finishing up over two decades of service to the township.

Algonquin Township Trustee:

Current trustees Dan Shea and Russell W. Cardelli are seeking re-election.  Current Village of Cary Trustee David Chapman is running for a position.  Rachael Lawrence, Republican Precinct Committeeman in Algonquin 3, is running for office for the first time.  Terrence Ference, who ran for county board in district one but lost will run for a slot in the township.  Finally, political newcomer Melissa L. Victor will be running.
