From Algonquin Township Clerk Chuck Lutzow:
The Algonquin Township Democratic party will Caucus December 6 2016 at 7:00 pm.
Location 85 Fairfield Lane, Cary, IL 60013.
[85 Fairfield Lane is the home of unsuccessful District 1 County Board candidate Kerri Barber.]
For the Purpose of Nominating the Candidates for the Following Offices:
- Algonquin Township Trustee
The Algonquin Township Republican Party is holding a primary election.
It would cost no more money for the Democrats to hold a primary election, too.
Kinda makes me wonder why have a caucus in your house instead of a primary?
It’s almost as if this is hastily thrown together.
Bring a gasmask to block the choking stench!
Old man that is funny.
Perhaps I should switch parties and go for it!
Re: “It would cost no more money for the Democrats to hold a primary election, too.”
Is the initial cost of a primary, holding the election, not paid for by the taxpayers but the campaigns are paid for by the candidates?
Does the ‘caucus’ approach not save campaign costs for the candidates?
No significant money will be saved by not having a Democratic Party primary at the same time as the GOP Township primary.
The Democrats, however, will be spared the embarrassment of people finding out how few people vote in such a Democratic Party primary, however.
