Judge James Cowlin administers the oath of office to newly-elected McHenry County Recorder of Deeds while his wife Karen holds the Bible.

Republican Joe Tirio was sworn in December 1st as McHenry County Recorder of Deeds.

He replaces long-time Recorder Phyllis Walters.

Tirio had no prepared remarks, but said he was “excited” and “looking forward to building on the foundation that Phyllis left us.”
