Huntley Police Department Seeking Assistance for Jimmy John’s Armed Robbery Suspect

On Friday December 9, 2016 at approximately 8:53 pm the Huntley Police department responded to Jimmy John’s located at 9704 North Route 47 Huntley for a report of an armed robbery.

An employee of the restaurant reported to police a female entered the store, displayed a hand gun and demanded money from the register.

The employee handed over an undisclosed amount of money and the female left the store heading south from the scene.

No one was injured in the incident. The Huntley Police Department searched the area with the assistance of the Lake in the Hills Police Department and a K-9 Unit from the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office.

The suspect was not immediately located.

The suspect was described as a Caucasian female in her mid to late 20’s, approximately 5’4,” average build, blonde hair, blue eyes, wearing pink rimmed glasses and light blue jeans with sequins on the back pockets.

The suspect may have left the scene traveling east on Rainsford Dr. in silver mid-sized SUV, possibly a Nissan Rogue or Murano.

  1. Perhaps if the HPD spent more time patrolling business and residential
    areas instead of “revenue enhancement” activities they just might catch
    burglars and robbers once in a while.

    HPD is truly an embarrassment, and the city council doesn’t seem to be
    concerned about it at all.

    Time for a new police chief, me thinks.

    The HPD makes the Keystone Kops look like the F.B.I., even they would be an improvement.
