From State Senator Pam Althoff:

Althoff: Excited about progress, but challenges lie ahead

Springfield, IL… State Senator Pamela Althoff (R-McHenry) releases the following statement regarding the State of the State Address:

“Political stalemates and ineffective government have plagued our state for far too long. In today’s State of the State Address, Governor Bruce Rauner addressed the opportunities we have to turn that around. His optimism gave me hope for a bright future for Illinois.

“I am excited about the recent progress that is being made here in the Senate, but I know several challenges still lie ahead.

“I know it is difficult to see our achievements, but I can assure you collaboration is happening behind the scenes.

“As Gov. Rauner mentioned, through cooperation, Illinois can and will prosper.

“We, as members of the General Assembly, have an obligation to the people we represent to work together to bring much needed change, and I hope that change is soon coming”

  1. She, along with several other Republicans and all but one Democrat, believe raising taxes is the solution.

  2. blahblahblah and nothing said!

    typical…

how about WE ARE NOT GOING TO RAISE ANY TAXES FOR THE WE THE PEOPLE!

don’t hear that coming from her lips…

  3. Vapid response.

We’re tired of the deals made with our state-destroying Democrats.

Do your job and represent us.

You and Tryon and McConnaughay were put there by the people and what you’ve done is give us the likes of – LYING JACK FRANKS.

    What a damn disappointment.
