  1. Re: “Kabuki theater.”

Keyboard warriors will not determine the outcome of this war – people in the streets, people knocking on doors, people attending public government meetings and speaking out, people running for public office etc. will.

Definition of ‘Keyboard Warrior; From the urban dictionary:

    1. A Person who, being unable to express his anger through physical violence (owning to their physical weakness, lack of bravery and/or conviction in real life), instead manifests said emotions through the text-based medium of the internet, usually in the form of aggressive writing that the Keyboard Warrior would not (for reasons previously mentioned) be able to give form to in real life.
    2. The term is a combination of the word ‘keyboard’ (the main tool by which the person expresses his/her latent rage) and ‘warrior’ (due to the warrior-like aggression, tendency towards violence, headstrong nature and propensity towards brute force as a means of resolving conflict rather than more subtle means dependant on finesse).
    3. The Keyboard Warrior seeks to use the power imbued in his ‘weapon’ to effect death and destruction (in a strictly-metaphorical sense) upon his foes (other virtual identities he has encountered on the internet). In essence, the keyboard (ie. text input ability) allows the keyboard warrior to manifest his true warrior nature in a safe and removed environment, from which no real-life repercussions .
    4. Keyboard Warriors are generally identified by unneccessary rage in their written communications, and are regarded as ‘losers’ by other virtual identities on the internet.

  2. conservative? Did you watch the video? I don’t understand why you are throwing red herrings. You are confusing the issue here. The CIA is your enemy – not the twits that comment for or against any particular party. That is Kabuki Theater! Quit reading the urban dictionary. That’s where Modereate gets their favorite insults. Kabuki has NOTHING to do with keyboards. (And up until now – you seemd so reasonable.)

  3. Judge Judy has a quote “God Gave You Two Ears and One Mouth”! She has not touched upon 10 (ten) fingers yet, but I see it coming one of these days

  4. I still don’t see why for the life of me why the committeemen get half off.

  5. Leadership from the McHenry County GOP?
I’ve never witnessed such a thing.

  6. Bada is so right. SOrry, to include this on a post with your name, Bada, but even another is starting to make sense.

  7. For Conservative voter (which, is now quite a suspicious name):
You have taken idiocy to a new level with your newest tantrum over learning a new “urban dictionary” word. What possessed you to get your panties in a knot over learning about the definition of keyboard warriors? Some of us have been around for quite a long time and we really don’t appreciate your coming late to the party and then dumping on us. Maybe what you have chosen to do with your life isn’t working. Maybe knocking on so man doors has left you chemtrailed to the max and your thinking became befuddled. Is that why you are so angry?

I take great umbrage at your insinuations that nobody else that ever scrawls a note on the internet can live up to your high expectations. You alone (with a handful of your cohorts) can do the job of heavy lifting. You denigrate the infirm, the housebound, the elderly, and even the hard working people that are overwhelmed just trying to make ends meets, with your lofty value of yourself. I would venture to say that every single one of the folks that take the time to post on blogs like this are very involved and doing the best they can to make their world make a little more sense. Yes, even the nitwits that are foolhardy enough to believe in lies. Even the ones that I regularly call out on their fallacies. They actually believe in what they are doing. How dare you castigate the whole of the human race as not as good as you are just because you think what you do is better than what they do? You are showing your social justice warrior style; and it ain’t pretty. Shame on you!

  8. Committeemen get half because they are the boots on the ground, endorsement letter senders, sign delivers, etc. THEY DO NOT GET PAID
Many do the job well paying postage, printing and envelops for hundreds of precinct letters that go out. Gas, time etc. is not reimbursed.
Chicago Alderman get paid. Out precinct committeemen do not.

  9. james K, you are so right! If Cindy, moderate and voter, let their feet do the walking instead of their fingers, they would be great Committeemen.

  10. I have yet to have my committeeman knock on my door, send a letter, or deliver signs to me. I’ve lived in McHenry County for 15 years.

  11. It’s a joke, Bada. I have never seen one either; and it’s going on forty-four years here to see one of these flibbertijibbets.

  12. Bada and Cindy: Give me your address and a list of signs you want.

    I will be there!

  13. Why I posted relative to the “Kabuki theater” comment:

It is difficult to condense my rationale to the level required for a blog but I will try.

For many elections, a lot of conservatives and liberals did not go out to vote because they felt abandoned by the two primary political parties – in my opinion this was somewhat justified.

Last year we had Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump who brought a lot of these voters back.

In McHenry County for many years, a fairly tight knit group ran the local Republican Party to the detriment of Republicans in general.

Three years ago that changed, thanks to the very hard work of a lot of people who were determined to really make a difference.

There are those amongst us who would love to see the end of the new revitalized McHenry County GOP.

There are those amongst us who would love to see the voters who came out last year for the first time in many years return to their non voting habits.

If you participate in the denigration of the GOP instead of working to support the return of the party to We The People, you are doing exactly what the supporters of One World government want.

While many support the creation of a third party to overcome the ineptitude of the GOP, even Donald Trump saw that was not feasible due to current federal and state campaign laws.

Our only choice to resurrect this ‘Land of Lincoln’ is to find conservative candidates for office and work diligently to get them elected.

In closing, if you believe it is too late – I guess it may be for you but that will not stop me.

If you voted last year for the first time in many years – please continue to vote and if possible, become a committeeman.

  14. But sometimes the local Republicans are good …… like in Grafton Township.

Or take McHenry Township where the conservatives took back the party and are running against goldbrick incumbents running as ‘Independents” in the Township election.

  15. The whole political thing is a charade. Trump is NOT a republican. Lincoln was NOT a good man. Local people running local government can be a good thing. That is why it is important to support and vote for the locals that are wise and would do good governance. Hanging your stars on CIA propaganda is NOT a good thing. Lashing out at local people that are trying to educate does nothing for unity. Unless you are the unbelievably stupid AND devisive Moderate; that thinks she can insult her way into anyone’s heart. Then lash away. BTW Queen of the morons, I weigh less than I did when I was pregnant with my fourth child!. That’s how stupid you are!

  16. As a follow up to Moderate’s comment: “:Pray for Cindy and her morbid obesity.”

I have no personal knowledge relative to either party but I suggest that Moderate spend the prayer time on the “round mound”.

  17. “Three years ago that changed, thanks to the very hard work of a lot of people who were determined to really make a difference.”

What difference did they make with the GOP?
They put Primm in office and the Sandra got her patronage job. The new ‘leadhership’ has barely done anything for local candidates, does not recruit new Precinct Committeemen, or show up at government meetings when elected Republicans need support on issues.

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

  18. Point well taken, Leeeeeery. My point is that there IS no GOP. There is NO political choice as to parties. The sooner people start to understand that all of that is hogwash perpetrated by the CIA, the sooner we can get on with supporting real people with real values that match our own; and live peacefully and purposefully in our own individual way.

  19. Anotherwatcher how do you know what I do? Thanks james k. for the info on the half off price, gotcha
