Yesterday, I paid my respects to former McHenry County Republican County Chairman Al Jourdan, Jr.
As the line was slowing moving toward the casket, I mentioned that I hoped he wasn’t wearing a tie–something I don’t remember seeing on him during life.
His daughter-in-law told me that Al had insisted on being buried in a plaid shirt with a can of Miller Lite and small Green Bay Packers helmet next to him.
That explained the Miller Lite truck in front of the funeral home.
Visitation will resume at 10 a.m. Friday prior to the 10:30 a.m. funeral service in the funeral home. Interment will be in Woodland Cemetery in McHenry.
