Republican Algonquin Township Trustee Nominee Melissa Victor Goes Rogue, Endorses Democrat — 63 Comments

  1. 03/15/2017 at 10:42 am & 03/15/2017 at 11:26 am are from an agitator, another Mark.

    The games continue.

  2. Have no idea who these people are. Maybe they are good for the township. Does anyone know anything about these ladies?

  3. One of four winners of the February 28, 2017 primary election for Republican Algonquin Township Trustee, Melissa Victor, has endorsed Democrat Dominique Miller for the April 4, 2017 General Election, over Republican Primary winner Rachael Lawrence.

The other two Republican Primary winners endorsed by Ms. Victor are Dan Shea and David Chapman.

    ++++++++

Dominique Miller is an appointed Democrat Precinct Committeeman for Algonquin Township Precinct 53.

Rachael Lawrence is an appointed Republican Precinct Committeeman for Algonquin Township Precinct 3.

Dan Shea is an elected Republican Precinct Committeeman for Algonquin Township Precinct 9.

    ++++++++

No rationale has surfaced for the Republican Algonquin Township Trustee candidate endorsing a Democrat candidate over the Republican candidate in the partisan election.

  4. Thanks Mark. That tells everyone exactly NOTHING about any of these people.

  5. Thank you, Semper.

That’s all I need to know.

They should both be gone, if she is endorsing a witch.

  6. Dominique Miller was not a candidate on the ballot for Algonquin Township Trustee in the February 28, 2017 primary election.

There were not Democrat candidates for Algonquin Township Trustee in that election.

The three losing Republican candidates were:

Candidate – Votes – Percentage of the Vote Total

    Terence Ference – 1,802 – 10.74%

    Russell Cardelli – 2,285 – 13.62%

    Scott Taillet – 2,095 – 12.48%

  7. Dominique Miller was put on the ballot by a caucus of the Algonquin Township Democratic Central Committee.

  8. The McHenry County GOP must insist on the signing of a loyalty oath if a candidate wants to place an (R) behind their name.

I am fed up with Progressives running as Republicans.

The ultimate insult last year was Lichte.

  9. Meaning Dominique Miller was put on the April 4, 2017 General Election ballot by a caucus of the Algonquin Township Democratic Central Committee.

Because she wasn not on the February 28, 2017 Primary Election ballot.

  10. Dominique Miller appears on the April 4, 2017 General Election ballot as a Democrat, not a Republican.

The sample ballot listing all candidates in the County and the office for which they are running, is on the County Clerk’s Election website.

On that website, clicking on “voter” reveals the hyperlink to the “Sample Ballot.”

Here’s the direct URL to the sample ballot.

  11. MARK! You are going over what we already know! Do you even read Cal’s pieces?

  12. Maybe draw your own conclusion as to why a trustee wouldn’t want to endorse another republican trustee.

  13. The Mrs,

We are certainly drawing our conclusions on the one Republican left out.

She must worry the current Trustees.

Are the incumbent Republicans hiding something???

  14. The question, it would seem to me, is why she would endorse a Democrat.

  15. Can you read Cindy.

Uually don’t have time to respond to stupid allegations but every once in awhile some points can be made.

Cal did not write that Dominique Miller was not on the Primary ballot.

Cal in his comment did not specify which election Dominique Miller was put on the ballot by a caucus of the Algonquin Township Democratic Central Committee.

Cal did not write if Dominique Miller was put on the ballot as Democrat or Republican (as compared to Jeffery Lichte who was a Democrat on the ballot as a Republican).

  16. Mark! Read the headline again, you dimwit! I should think that more than just me is getting very tired of you repeating scads of worthless stats. Do you have any opinions at all? Or are you just here to keep repeating junk we already know or can find on our own?

  17. Is Miller a relative of Bob Miller?

Is she really a witch? Documentation please.

  18. The real question is ‘Is Melissa Victor another Democrat running as a Republican?’

We’ve had our share of those and I’m sick of it.

  19. Leave Markipedia alone.
He’s connecting the dot’s and following the money.

  20. Is the endorsement quid pro quo for Miller support in the primary?

Is it in response to the picture of Gasser celebrating his win with Rachael Lawrence?

The internet is a great source:

If this is the same Dominique, (the picture is the same as one on her Facebook page) she is shown as having connections to:

If the preceding is not correct, i request that either Dominique or Melissa correct me.

  21. Lawrence is the only real Republican nominee and it doesn’t take a genius to figure out why they want her out, they’re all Miller slate cronies and she’s the only one who spoke out and called him what he is — corrupt.
The others are either including tax and spend Democrats (Victor)or ultra progressive Republicans who areliberals who want policies that are not conservative (Chapman)

  22. Dan Shea was port of the circus that OK’s each others faulty petitions before the Republican Primary.

I scratch you back if you scratch mine.

As a witness ti the faulty petitions as well as the sad display put on be the board committee, I am surprised that we have people like him in government at all. As chairman he was clueless during the hearing.

  23. The Twh board by state law is nothing more than a rubber stamp with little over site powers.

    Progressive Republicans = Teddy Roosevelt!

The residents that live on Twh roads are way more worried about the inexperienced dude the city dudes elected.

Those that depend the most on Alg Twh services just got burned, the fire was to hot and the pot boiled over.

  24. Chapman and Victor and other democrats running as republicans is a big scam.

Lawrence is the only one who is a REAL Republican and of course they want her to lose because the rest are Bob Miller democrats.

I am also surprised they don’t run on the democratic ticket since there is no opposition.

As much as I have issues with Dominique Miller she is running as a democrat and not trying to BS us.

  25. Re: “Those that depend the most on Alg Twh services just got burned, the fire was to hot and the pot boiled over.”

It is really sad that a taxpayer endorsed a guy who had his spouse working for him as an assistant for close to $100,000 per year.

There is not one Township Road District in the whole country that could justify such an expense.

Because so many voters approved of that waste of taxpayer dollars for so many years they created an environment to make it possible for Andrew Gasser to be elected.

  26. dumbest thing I ever saw ……

    They both must be exposed.

    What coven are they in?

    Althoff’s?

  27. Ref:”There is not one Township Road District in the whole country that could justify such an expense.”

Nunda and McHenry Twh employ two people each for more total comp than Alg Twhs one employee.

Try doing some research, and not just repeating what someone else said.

Yup a slight majority voted for inexperience because they also don’t know the facts.

Gasser won on anti incumbent, anti nepotism, and anti township, the timing worked plus some old fashion Chicago style politics helped.

The wedge against unionization of twhs is now gone, let the flooding begin.

  28. Maybe she’s endorsing a Democrat because she is a Democrat herself.

In McHenry County, Democrats run as Republicans so they have a better chance of being elected.

Kerri Barber and other people from McHenry County Progressives were endorsing Bob Miller in the primary.

Algonquin Township is literally where McHenry County meets Cook County.

    This isn’t nuclear engineering…

“Lawrence, Rachael” or “Guest, Rachael” (http://68.21.116.46/wow65/runApp?id=0) Care to talk about the multiple felonies and misdemeanors you have been charged with? Order of Protection, Civil suits, Driving Suspensions, DUI’s, Aggravated Battery, Disorderly Conduct, Assault, harassment, resisting arrest, and the other plethora of charges you have accumulated? You, Andy Gasser’s OH history are going public. Welcome to “We the people”. We will not stand for this.

  30. Wasn’t Rachael Lawrence a volunteer at the Republican National Convention?

I find it hard to believe that she would pass the background check from the secret service if she was that much of a threat to society.

Sounds more like she’s just a threat to what remains of the Miller clan.

  31. Yet again, my decades old past misdemeanor conviction is brought up in a desperate attempt to assassinate my character–I assume as revenge for my outspoken views against Miller nepotism and corruption, and definitely to distract from the relevant issues of this race.

I’ve already addressed this on my campaign page here:

    https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1530301140333138&substory_index=0&id=1397809310248989

Yes, it is true that I was selected by the Republican National Committee out of tens of thousands of applicants to serve as official staff for the Republican National Convention in Cleveland last summer.

I was thoroughly investigated and cleared by the United States Secret Service.

Not only was I investigated and cleared, I was assigned the highest of four access clearance levels, including the staffing of the President-elect’s private family suite.

I think it’s safe to say I am not a threat to the Algonquin Township Board with my spotless record since then.

PS. The Nob: I happen to live and own property on a township maintained road. Food for thought.

  32. Tranparency Rachael, your past is fair game, you set the rules by attacking old nepotism, I’m just following your lead.

I read your Facebook question about crack sealing on your township road, and noticed the really good answer you got from the dude with the experience.

Your lack of knowing what crack sealing is, is a troubling as Andrew not having any practicle road knowledge either.

Sorry but a manuel isn’t enough, any Vet can tell you that even if Andrew says otherwise.

My advice, by a 4×4 or AWD if you don’t have one.

    Better safe that sorry.

  33. Again, distractons.

Do you have any actual questions for me regarding my our trustee candidacy, or are you just here to agitate?

If it’s the latter, I’ll leave you for tonight.

If you change your mind and want to discuss the ideas I have for the township, feel free to contact me on my campaign page.

    Good evening “Nob.”

  34. Nob? You are truly an idiot.

How dare you try to beat up a woman with your pea brain!

    Fair game?

    Get serious.

You are not even CLOSE to the game!

  35. Rachael, from a post on this blog when you started your run: “She is a Republican Precinct Committeeman in Algonquin 3 in rural Cary.”

    Is that correct info?

If elected do you plan on proceeding with an attempt to Consolidate/Eliminate Alg Twh?

  36. Cindy, Rachael is a candidate for elected office, there is no sex in politics.

  37. Township trustees do not have the statutory powers to consolidate or eliminate township government.

My personal opinion about consolidation or elimination is that I am undecided at this time and, again, this is irrelevant to my candidacy for Algonquin Township Trustee.

  38. The last consolidation efforts spokesman was a twh trustee, and as a trustee your job is to be fiscally responsible to the tax payers.

Looking at all options is part of your job, but thanks for the evasive answer.

The Shadow says game on and good luck!

  39. I find it odd that Melissa Victor(rino) and Dominique Miller (wiccan) both show up for ONE township board meeting just for a photo op, while Rachael Lawrence has not missed a meeting since last fall.

  40. “Nob”-

I can only assume you are referring to Nunda Trustee Shorten who happened to be chairman of an independent pro-consolidation group.

I am well aware of his unsuccessful attempts at a consolidation referendum, as well as the earlier attempts led by Bob Anderson. I consider myself an informed citizen, but you are incorrect if you think decisions on consolidation is “part of your job” as Township trustee.

My comment was not evasive at all. I gave you the truth that I am personally undecided at this time.

It’s clear to me, through your repeated antagonistic comments (on this page and others) that there is nothing that I can say or do to appease you, so I will not engage with you further. (Yes, I do know your real identity.)

If anyone has any genine questions related to the Township Trustee race, feel free to rach out to me at facebook.com/RachaelforIL

Happy St. Paddy’s Day, and try to have a good day.

  41. Billy Bob, I think you are waltzing the intent of my comment.
This would be more in line with your waltz:

By SEAN MURPHY – The Associated Press

OKLAHOMA CITY – An Oklahoma state senator was booked Thursday on child prostitution charges for allegedly hiring a 17-year-old boy for sex, leading to calls for his resignation and a separate internal investigation into his years of work with a youth program.

Ralph Shortey, a 35-year-old conservative Republican who has a wife and three young daughters, surrendered to authorities on charges of engaging in child prostitution, transporting a minor for prostitution and engaging in prostitution within 1,000 feet of a church. He was released after about two hours on a $100,000 bond.

“I have no comment at this time, but I will soon,” he told reporters outside of the jail.

A horse of a different color.

  42. Lighten up, Francis.

    It was a joke.

I thought it was kind of obvious.

  43. Rachael,

    Definition of antagonistic
: showing dislike or opposition :

    Proper example by definition:
Algonquin Township Trustee Candidate Rachael Lawrence Statement
Posted on 02/09/2017 by Cal Skinner

Your team has set the bar, following the Donald’s example, or really where politics has sunken to it this country from both sides.

Ref: (Yes, I do know your real identity.) LOL, then you should know The Nob is ref my bald head, and is used as much as my name.

Transparency, means not hiding from uncomfortable questions and comments.

I talk to Andrew on occasion, so of course he would share my name as since he ran for a postion I know he isn’t qualified to do, I am now his and your teams opposition.

Before the primary I supported many of the things he has done on the county board, and told him so.

Now it’s different, the game goes on.

    So why the FOI Andrew/Rachael?

  44. Rachael, Shorten and Andreson think Consolidation/Elimination is part of the job of a trustee, and me too.
