Moving on was what McHenry Alderman Robert Peterson did when he resigned his seat.
Peterson said that due to his planned marriage in October, when he will relocate outside of city limits, he was resigning.
The timing was such that Mayor Sue Low could appoint Peterson’s replacement, rather than whoever replaces her in May after the election.
Low appointed Patrick Devine.
At this week’s meeting there was a vote on loaning $55,000 to a man starting a brewery and bread place.
The vote was 4-3 with Andrew Glab and Scott Curry voting in the negative.
What was strange was that Low’s new appointee, Devine voted with the minority.
I think it was Scott Curry who voted in the negative. I don’t know where the Coffey name came from. He’s not a McHenry alderman.
I’m sure that was a typo Cal, knowing Scott I’m sure he won’t take offense. Good catch Ned! Nice to know everybody is watching.
My mistake.
Another ‘Low blow’ courtesy of the taxoholic mayoress.
who voted yes?
Who was the other “NO”?
I’m sickened to see the City is taking over yet another function of private enterprise … the banking industry with the cute loan to the aspiring baker.
Can’t he get his dough from a bank?
If not, why not?
