So Scott Vetter’s a Racist?

Supporters of the teacher union choices for the Crystal Lake High School District 155 Board put together a slickly produced video claiming to contain derogatory tweets from tax cut slate candidate Scott Vetter.

Today, the Northwest Herald ran a story on the subject.

Vetter claimed his Twitter account had been hacked.

One alleged tweet from Vetter caught my eye.

You can see it below:

Read this alleged tweet from Scott Vetter and you would think he is a racist.

Read the tweet the teacher union supporters claim Scott Vetter wrote and you would think he is a racist, right?

That is, unless you have met his wife, Karen Black-Vetter.   Vetter and his wife can be seen below:

So Scott Vetter’s a Racist? — 33 Comments

  1. The video was put together by a member of the progressives group.

Sad that this is the level that they’re resorting too.

  2. It’s only going to get worse.

What you’re witnessing are the death throws of a dying political ideology.

  3. Of course the 3 running with the teachers unions support will do things like this.

They want their people on the board so they can get every pay hike and benefit they want approved at our expense with higher taxes.

  4. Scott’s also accused of being antisemitic, which might surprise his best friend of many years, who’s Jewish.

  5. I’ve known Scott for over 10 years….never been a racist or anti religion.

The man is passionate about better government and only wanted to make a difference for the people in D155.

I hope he wins despite this ridiculous attack.

  6. There are a handful of ‘progressives’ that even ‘true progressives’ are staying away from.

Kerri Barber and those that push ‘fake news’ will slowly go away and die along with Clinton. Unless Franks is paying them.

  7. And he also wrote all those silly complaint letters to Roseanne Roseannadanna.

  8. More HATE spewing forth from those who demonstrate against hate!

Remember all the “love” signs carried by those who walked around the Woodstock Square when there was a pro-Tump rally?

The HATE is coming from those people and people they support!!

The following is from their bible:

“The tenth rule of the ethics of rules and means is that you do what you can with what you have and clothe it in moral arguments. …the essence of Lenin’s speeches during this period was “They have the guns and therefore we are for peace and for reformation through the ballot. When we have the guns then it will be through the bullet.” And it was. ” P. 36-37

  9. I know Scott and he is No racist.

He is simply a conservative with a vision of less government and quality education for all.

Too bad he removed himself from the ticket

I urge all conservatives and moderates in this district to contine to support his candidacy.

  10. “I’m not a racist, my best friend is black…” Have you heard that before? Tic tock, tic tock…

  11. Mr. Llavona is a English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher at Maine West High School in Maine Township High School District 207.

  12. Thanks for the heads up, Mark.

    These ‘people’ must be exposed!

  13. “Did you thank a teacher today?”

What does that even mean? Are you implying that teachers are socially valuable (and they are), and therefore they deserve big bucks and Cadillac benefit packages?

You know what else is really valuable to me? Water.

You and I would literally die if we didn’t have access to potable water.

To express our sincere thanks to the hard working men and women of the municipal water utility, should we pay all of them a million dollars a year?

Teachers should be paid what they’re worth.

Teachers are worth what a similarly qualified person would accept for similar work.

The salary and benefit packages the catholic schools pay their teachers is probably reflective of the fair market value.

Public school teachers should be “thanked” today with drastic pay and benefit cuts.

    Tic tock, tic tock…

  14. Did you thank a policeman today?

Did you thank a fireman today?

Did you thank a janitor today?

Did you thank a parent today?

Did you thank a Teacher’s Aide today?

Did you thank a nurse today?

Did you thank an Accountant today?

    Did you thank lawyer today?

    Did you thank volunteer today?

Did you thank a construction worker today?

Did you thank a factory worker today?

Seems pretty self centered when teachers ask if teachers were thanked today.

There are lots of important occupations.

  15. Some people prefer to die before thanking a teacher. We know them too well; deflecting the subject from racism to their obsession with teachers and then get upset when asked to thank a teacher. Go ahead, thank a teacher. It is not too late. Tic tock, tic tock…

  17. Scott Vetter pulled out of the race for “damage control” reasons. Damage control really means he was asked by the rest of the candidates on his slate to get out immediately. Tic tock, tic tock…

  18. It’s the teachers who should be thanking the private sector taxpayers for providing them with an income that very few of them would be able to attain in the real world.

Unfortunately for the Illinois teachers who have not retired yet, the pension system is going to crash and burn, and they will have to settle for a small fraction of what they thought they would get.

    Tick-tock, tick-tock…

  19. Aren’t schools part of the real world?

In the parallel universe of private sector worshipers this may probably be the case, but it is not.

Go ahead and thank a teacher; National Education Week is around the corner.

  20. Dear Mr. Vetter, please reconsider that decision.

Your fellow McHenry county taxpayers need a brave fighter like you, because this is all about property values, taxpayers money, fiscal responsibility and all that…nothing to do with race…Tic tock, tic tock…

  21. You are so correct Mr. Llavona!

    Damage control for that team!

But I am still on the ballot.

    I can still win!

    I hope to still win!

    My family is behind me.

    My friends are behind me.

They all know who I am and what I can do for the community!

  22. I thank these teachers every day!

My daughter is a child with special needs.

    THEY are our ANGELS.

She is now in D47, but will be in D155 in 9 years!

So, We have a strong vested interest in making sure OUR daughter has an exceptional High School system to go to.

There are SO MANY ways to cut costs, without diminishing the great education our kids get.

We do not need to and will not close ANY of the schools!

We MUST look to the Superintendent and his top heavy administration, to cut some cost.

I know this will not be easy, but even 1% less on a budget is better than 10% more!

  23. As a real Hispanic, I deplore this hideous Llavona creature.

Here’s a photo reportedly of a close relative of the bothersome ‘Llavona’

  24. Thank you Mr. Vetter.

I knew we could count on conservative champions like you.

Running for office pledging to cut funding for education is not supporting education.

It is about a different agenda.

Since your twitter account was hacked, this is a great opportunity to clarify the issue once and for all.

what is your message of support to those African American youth who live in fear of being shot by law enforcement agents who are supposed to protect and serve them?

What is your position on the Black Lives Matter struggle? Tic tock, tic tock…

  25. Mr. Llavona’s teacher pay increased 284% from $33,979 in year 2000 to $130,356 in 2015.

2015 was his 21st year teaching.
