Cary Mayor Mark Kownick won his re-election campaign by 21 votes.
Challenger Jim Cosler received 1,534 votes to Knownick’s 1.555.
Looking at the Cary Trustee election, in which three seats were up, yielded the following results:
- Jeffrey Kraus – 1,603
- Jennifer Weinhammer – 1,571
- Christine Betz – 1,403
- Joe Tournier – 1,345
- Duane Dudek – 1,246
- Christopher Naatz – 1,199
21 friggin’ votes and Cary could have turned things around.
